for those of us who are nearly deaf will there be some kind of transcript for the road map so everyone can see what it is? these streams are nearly impossible for me to follow with out subtitles.
Someone should make a drinking game for these... like take a sip whenever you hear "roadmap", "moving forward", "excited", "Chris", "develop", "create", "discussion", "Neverwinter" etc.
Wait no, that might make viewers hammered with just the introductory statements. =P
Also I second thefiresidecat's request for a transcript afterwards mainly because I'm not going to be able to watch it.

I thought about editing my comment to include and for people unable to make it. but they do normally have a video of streams you can watch later.

I hope in roadmap yu put 2 thinks a freedom day were we can admitt back banned player for a new start ( yu can keep from them currency stolen but unbound they will be cool )
And consolle player need t know yur plans for ps5 and new xbox cuz this will have hige impact for us consolle player if yu plan to not give me the game in ps5 or if i ve to restart all can be so bad for the game...
Hmm, I know that's not a complete picture but there doesn't seem to be enough events within this year to win the legendary mount advertised from Hellpit (oh, unless the currency is going into the siege event, masq and winter fest as well as "new event"). I hope that hasn't been forgotten.
Also, what's the difference between Zariel Trial and Zariel Story Mode? Am I right in guessing the second one is for solo players? That would be really cool.

that's a high level roadmap not calendar. I'm sure we will have plenty of hellpit events. it looks like they're just calling out the remastered events. not all the events.
Next time try to have rainer northside garlaanx and kaly gold maybe they make the right question i see on stream wasnt touch some hot topic that ppl needed to know

Hi Joseph,
This is a development road map and not our live calendar which contains our ‘event’ schedule. I hope that makes sense.
Story mode is the trial with reduced challenge and related rewards.
I don't know who she was, but I'd like to thank the streamer for forcing the issue and asking about the Foundry. At least now we know that it's gone for good. I really don't understand why it was so hard to get a definitive answer on it; I presume that the devs could see the chat. Getting closure on the issue is important. One of the most maddening things about dev streams over the years has been asking Foundry questions to always see them pointedly ignored.
It was nice to see @terramak say that he would try to get Foundry rewards to be reclaimable. I know he's promised it before, but hopefully he can make it happen.
I have to say that I'm not very confident about seeing the side areas unblocked, even though the effort would be minimal. The one dev who was sitting on the right seemed overly concerned about metrics about dungeon running time and how many players would visit those areas. Metrics can only tell you what players do; not *why* they do it, and it seems to me that much more important than metrics is the question, "does this make the dungeon more fun?"

The big gap between a rational and emotional approach, I would assume, only that one is needed more for this job I presume. I mean, that's what has been so hard to explain with the M16 changes, because if I was a more rational person I could see the pros of getting rid of a in various ways broken system of powershare/overpowered (de)buffing for example, but all I can often see is: HAMSTER I had a lot of fun. Fun is hard to measure and something else for everybody. Data isn't.
But man I had the most fun in the most absurd rubs, not in enforced trinity so and so k IL runs.

Very well said. My very first run of FBI when it launched on console - no tank. A MSPC, no healer. Many other examples of dungeon runs that occurred that were a blast. Good fun stuff, that no longer occurs.
Can there be another roadmap stream with other content creators that can ask you legitimate questions about the road map cuz honestly a lot of that stream was a waste of time aside from novas questions this stream idea was great but the people who were their just wasted time sorry but that's the truth I'm not the only one who thinks this please

Agreed, I tuned out after 15-20 minutes. Too many people, too difficult to hear and all around too busy. Honestly - in this situation, I don’t care about anybody’s input if their not employed by the game. Give me the plan. Throw the Roadmap on the screen and and let’s drill down through the timeline. “We’re going to execute, this, this and this... Our expectations are... We’ll conduct follow up and reviews here, here and here” = awesome. Hold a short Q&A at the end and follow up with an expanded Q&A on reddit.
I'm guessing that from the stupefied initial reactions, that the people responding to the Road Map hadn't seen it n advance? If so, Bravo for sticking to a notional idea of secrecy and fairness that everyone would see it at the same time. But dig the bullet out of your foot for next time you do something like this and let the people you expect to ask serious questions see it at least half an hour to an hour in advance. If I wanted to see an hour of people's initial reactions to things they don't quite understand and grasp at the first questions that come into their head in a disorganised free for all, I'd sit my kids down in front of the first series of Twin Peaks, sit back and enjoy.
If you throw this up without any prior knowledge, you are bound to have people sit there while they first have to READ it, then try and figure out in their own heads what half of it means, and then try to form sensible relevant questions about it.
That's why the FIRST things the correspondent's did was bring up "No new Class..." and "No PvP"... and instead of digging into the actual Roadmap, Cryptic are immediately on the back foot defending their decisions when they should be celebrating this initiative in open communication.
But...
"Nova... you got anything?" "Errrrrrrm......" laughs "This is why we wanted to do things scrappy..."
no new masterwork til sept? ouch. it would be nice if that could be moved way up. that's over a year of dead professions. it would really help the economy to bring that faster.
Three of the points that I gleaned from the stream was that there were going to be a) no new boons or feats for the foreseeable future b) that Chris did not want any discussion on mod 16 or the game pre mod 16. c) Scaling would still exist albeit in a different form
With regard to the first two points I appreciate that it may not be possible to go back prior to mod 16. That was, however, one of the reasons so many people, including myself, left the game. I would like to know how you are going to reintroduce meaningful diversity into builds in either the immediate future or in the long term. Can we at least have a CDP on this topic to garner opinions. Although one of the Devs suggested that pre mod 16 there was only an illusion of build diversity that is simply not the case. I looked at masses of varying builds for my OP before deciding on the route that I would take, tweaking along the way to my own satisfaction.
Turning to scaling I would like more information on how this will work in game.
My final point is that irrespective of how many new or revamped areas or activities you introduce if the combat system is not fun to play then people will not come back. What made NW unique and such fun was the excellent game play, it may not have been completely balanced but that is impossible to achieve.
Is really nice to see the road map, but would be even more awesome if we had a plan for the whole calendar month by month
This would not only help the players to figure the time loops between then, but also give more value to the work done there will be a lot of stuff happening at same time if you add the road map to the planned calendar...
Some people i talked in my alliance have a hard time tring to figure the year ahead of us...
Anyway is NICE to see this kind of transparency from this game usually the only insight we had in neverwinter future was preview server and forum...
PS. of course you need to place a BIG statment "This is a PLAN not the official calendar"...

I missed that Willow was hosting and was looking on the Cryptic channel. Silly me lol

Cut scenes are awesome. Scaling sucks
