Unable to authenticate: Connection to the account server timed out keep saying that.. icant login the game..

    Since the patch no matter what i do i can't get into the game, i have even uninstalled the game completely twice with no luck and now i'm re-installing it again, i sent in a ticket but after sending the requested files for them to check i got an email asking me not to put the same ticket in twice and they had closed one of them but when i look i see only two tickets both closed none open.. Its worked fine on my sons laptop but will not run on my desktop which it always has before. I have googled the problem and tried everything i found but nothing works. Any ideas would be a help guys.

    So, apparently the downtime on January 22nd was to "fix" some connection /stability issue for some people.
    I didn't have any connection / stability issue before the downtime. But now I cannot connect (could load one character, but was disconnected when switching characters and cannot connect since):

    I get the message:
    "Connecting to account server, please wait ..."
    Never connects and times out after a minute or so.

    Couldn't be the new Lockbox, the contents were----disappointing lol!

    same problem: was in game, got kicked, cannot log back
    The launcher still shows the green light for the server status ...
    what shall I say. This patch created problems that were not there before

    I logged in fine after patching several minutes ago, then got dumped when attempting to switch characters. NOW... cannot authenticate... COME ON ARC!!!

    They want us to play only a single character per day :-) to reduce the ZAX backlog

    After trying to switch characters i was dumped tried to log in and get the " connection to the account server timed out " in the launcher

    When the server was up i managed to patch the game on the laptop and it was fine no problems.. however my desktop has not worked at all it crashes out every time and the server was up as i had tested it with the laptop. So for me it seems to just be a problem with the desktop and i prefer to play on that as it has more ram etc.

    Hi all.
    I was connected to the game when the connection dropped and when I return, the following error appears:

    "Could not authenticate: the connection to the account server has timed out."

    what's up? I'm not able to log in anymore, someone with the same problem?

    Neverwinter gives message:

    Unable to authenticate: Connection to the account server timed out

    Star Trek Online the same.

    That is exactly WHY I don't like new mods - something gets broken.
    It been like this all day. Last time I was online was at about 1:00 Eastern Time for USA or 6:00 AM in the morning GMT. The bit of sleep. Went to work. Tried logging at lunchtime at about 1:00PM GMT auth error.
    Now it is 16:54 GMT and error still here. Server green no maintenance.
    Changed my password - doesn't work.
    PLEASE FIX IT.

    Same has happened to me. Changed Characters and it kicked me, went to log back in and server timed out.

    What does that have anything to do with the new mod when STO has the same issue?

    same here...only 30mins ingame..DC now failed to login..
