Neverwinter Content Creator Rules of Conduct
We are inviting members of the Neverwinter Community to join us in celebrating and sharing your heroic deeds, your wealth of knowledge, and your many adventures across the Sword Coast! The Neverwinter Content Creator program seeks to support the Neverwinter community by promoting the vast array of content generated by its members, providing in-game giveaway codes, and through Development Team-Community collaborations.
Content Creators are not official representatives of the company(ies) but are expected to adhere to a certain conduct in order to uphold community standards.
These Rules of Conduct outline the expectations for Content Creator and the consequences for any behaviors that go against the stated expectations.
Dos & Don’ts
1. Follow the Perfect World Terms of Service
a. Do not exploit game bugs, or instruct others how to exploit game bugs
b. Do not impersonate employees or other content creators
c. Do not sell, trade, or directly share promotional/giveaway codes or web URLs.
i. DO give them away fairly!
d. Do not use the game materials to endorse or oppose any political party, association or any side of any issue.
2. Don’t Hate
a. Do not engage in or promote hate speech, threats, spam, harassment, or discriminatory behavior
b. If you get salty, take a break and try to find something sweet
3. R E S P E C T
a. Show respect towards other players, content creators, and developers
b. No trash talking, using raids to harass others, or participating in abusive behavior through other social media channels
c. Avoid content that generates views via persistent outrage
d. It’s ok to be critical of the game and its features, but be measured and fair in your criticisms
4. Don’t spill the beans
a. If you are given confidential information, please respect all relevant embargo dates when releasing your content
b. Do not disclose personal information about other players, content creators, or developers (aka doxing)
5. Create appropriate content
a. You are solely responsible for the content you create or post
b. Consider the game’s official age rating when making your content
c. Avoid excessive profanity, adult content, illegal behavior, and polarizing topics
i. This includes backdrops, props, or other supplemental material you use
6. Be cool!
a. Be a constructive force for the game and its community
b. Have fun!
Consequences of Unacceptable Behavior
Violation of this Rules of Conduct and the Terms of Service will be considered unacceptable behavior and may lead to disciplinary measures. Instances of unacceptable behavior will be reviewed. Any and all appropriate action will be taken at the sole discretion of Perfect World Entertainment and Cryptic Studios – up to and including expulsion from the content creator program, account termination, deletion/removal of unacceptable content and/or legal action.
LEGALLY BINDING
These Rules of Conduct are an integral part to the Terms of Service, the two together are binding between Content Creator and Perfect World Entertainment, Inc.
