resolution problems

hi there, just started up the game again been a while since i played, luv the new changes. however i am having a problem with the resolution of this game, i have it set for 1920 x 1080, which it looks great on, however the problem i am having is when i click with the mouse on a menu like for example when u die you have to hit either shift 1 or shift 2 if you dont have a rez scroll. so when that screen opens up and you have to use your mouse button to click on the button it wont work, it seems that the highligt for the button on happens if you are in the area close by it. if i click on that button nothing happens, is there a way to fix this or what is best resolution to play the game in.
