Is there really a 2x Shards of Power Event on September 6th.

A couple of weeks ago there was some changes/confusion regarding changes in the event schedule. The upcoming events calendar conflicted with what was put on the announcement page. If I remember correctly the 2x Shards of Power was one of these.
I wanted to verify that the event will actually take place as mentioned in the calendar, so I can inform my guild members on scheduling their Build Quests.
