Proffesions/Crafting Rework suggestion/idea(incomplete)

Firstly. This is not completed because, I stopped play NWO active as where before. And more less within month will step away for sure..

Anyways.. Before I leave, decide just to post some ideas about current crafting problems and how I would rework.

Sure, developers introduced mastercraft recipes and crafting system some time ago with Stronghold introduction module. I personally think that MC crafting is just Proffesions 2.0. And it failed.
With previous mod we received MC rework and what you can call MC 2.0.
Sure we now have temporal trader within stronghold and make MC obtainable more easy.
However, this not change fact, that old/legacy crafting need big rework.
Current situation is simple, up till you reach all proffesions to rank 25 you simply waste time/materials and nerves.

Here is my idea how I think would make Old/legacy craftings viable to some point. But also boost up craftings over all..


Now to do so, we need split it in parts, because rework is not simple, cut/paste.. :P


Old/Legacy recipes.


Part 1: Recipes reallocation
1) Cut all old(original/legacy) recipes from proffesions recipes table. ( lv 1 ~ 19/20 lv)Up to archmage ring in jewelcrafting case/example)).
2) reallocate legacy recipes to NPC craft/trader.
Note: utilizing strongholds temporal trader mechanic which where introduced in mod The Cloacked Ascendancy.
3) Place NPC in protectors Enclave and in Stronghold.
4) Players proffesions starting point recipes are what are now
lv 20/21(all recipes right after archmage ring in jewelcrafting case/example).
5) Payment for item craft/exchange are either by gold or AD,(prices leave for devs to decide).

Part 2: progression within NPC trader/crafter

1) Split craftings in tears.
• Tear 1 - recipes lv 1 ~ 10,
• Tear 2 - recipes lv 11 ~ 20,
• Tear 3 - recipes lv 21 ~ 30,
• Tear 4 - recipes lv 31 ~ 40,
• Tear 5 - recipes lv 41 ~ 50,
• Tear 6 - recipes lv 51 ~60.
Note: lv 60 is max... All higher ranked recipes can be crafted by players only...

2) Remove time requirement for rare/time specific recipes.
Note: players must have access them anytime, it's not logic to put special timing requirement for low tear craftings...

3) Each tear unlocking require to craft each tears top item as proof,
Example: Jewelcrafting to unlock tear 2 recipes, player had to present one of rare craftings, mage belt +3, Mages necklace + 3, mages Ring +3 or warrior's belt +3. . (items may not be consumed/wasted. but become character/account bind),

4) once player unlock new tear recipes for it's picked proffesion lines. He can craft all items within that rank.
example: player lv 11, and he unlock tear 2 recipes, thats mean he can craft even lv 18 gear peaces...
5) player can unlock higher tear recipes even if players characters level is low.
Example: Player lv 5 can unlock recipes all up to tear 6,....
However, since lv requirement to wear gear remain, he will not use it, until reach required characters lv...

6) each proffesion within NPC trader need to unlock separated.
Thats mean, if u unlocking jewelcrafting ranks/tears, you may not unlock ranks for armorsmith, or etc..
7) Within NPc craft you can repeat same task without restriction.
Note: you can use it as long u pay for it... Thats mean potion(alchemy) become more easily to craft in high quantities.
8) Crafting epic rank gear parts, may need assets to compete crafting. Example: epic ranked items.

Personal Crafting recipes.


1)Personal crafting recipes are all current recipes from rank 21 to 25lv.
2) Players can start to use/unlock personal crafting by 2 ways.
A) unlock all tears within NPC craft. From rank 1 to rank 6.. And complete mini quest(introduction toward personal crafting
B) character reach lv 61 and complete mini quest.
Note: Plan B means to skip old/legacy crafting if player may not want to bother with it.
Thats mean player instead crafting may buy required items from auction house or trade with players..

3) Personal crafting system/mechanic work in same manner as current proffesions mechanic..

Note: this part focused to make shortcut for new players, and not waste time, and materials if they don't want..
Also leave old legacy recipes more an option, or for low lv players to craft/sell/trade..


Master craft


Note: current masterwork is Ok by recipes, gears/items wise. But crafting itself is not so good... To unlocking is annoying. And with new Mod 12 gear introduction, everyone drop interest in Mastercraft, its same as where with Underdark introduction and killed MC 1.0 recipes.. :)
