How come there are almost no support companions? What are my choices when I play buffers/debuffers?
There are some choices, but out of those I would say only Owlbear Cup and summoned debuff really do the job, or at least are logical to use.
1) summoned debuff companion
This is the only spot well covered. Due to companion skills we can have additional 10-20% debuff. Cool stuff, plus there is a wide selection.
But that's it when it comes to good choices.
2) help with AP gain
2% AP gain is a marginal upgrade, not even worth considering. If you take yourself seriously as a buffer/debuffer, daily is essential to what you do.
I expect a solid number over 100-110% AP gain at least, probably much more with insignia bonuses proc.
2% from sprite does not play a role
3) Owlbear Cup
A reasonable choice, considering we won't have free stats for crit chance. Though the damage is underwhelming. Plus it is not really a thing that would help us with what we do first and foremost.
4) owl
This might be useful for some DCs out there, but I am not convinced.
5) On daily Lillend
Those would be a choice if they were little bit more powerful and without the stupid cooldown
6) Vicicous Dire wolf
Potentially good, but procs are way to infrequent. Without the same effect coming from other sources it's not useful. Plus on bosses it's a dead companion.
7) Control Bonus
For a CW debuffer this is a option, though only if you need some help with going through the dungeon. In MSPC I found the bonus to be somewhat useful. But again, on bosses it's a dead companion.
8) Crab
Haven't tried it though I assume it has the same problems as 6. and 7.
9) DoT procs companions
I've seen some people use DoT procs like Remorhaz, Lightfoot theif, Death Slaad, and other for additional procs.
The only thing I am interested in procing is Darkfire, and Slaad or Thief don't do that for me. Not sure about remor.
Am I missing some good choices?

2) Yes, in the current state of the game, healing is not much of a factor in support. And in the new mod the direction does not seem to change.
3) As I see it, the game SHOULD consider healers as an independent entity/party role. I would love to see a need for dedicated healers, as well as dedicated dmg support. Not those stupid hybrids that can do everything that is needed.
