Does the Dedicated Squire Work as Intended?

Am having 2 issues with this guy.

1. I have silvery 12's in all 3 of his defense slots, but his stats only show 2,100 Deflect. His Holy Orders ability says his deflect should increase by 25%.

2. His Cleansing Touch doesn't seem to proc at all. I am only seeing him use Smite, which, works very well, 100% uptime on a single target = 15% damage reduction, which is really nice, if that actually is working. i'd really like to use him for his Cleanse and CC removal summoned power but am not seeing him use it.

Percent chance to [whatever] doesn't generally show up in flat stats. This is like getting a % value to your own resistance ignored from a boon or ability score; it doesn't appear in your armor penetration stat. I don't know if there's an elegant way to register that a companion is successfully defecting damage, and companion sheets are not very informative in general.

I honestly don't know if he Cleanses, but perhaps not. I use this companion on a very low tier GWF alt where I pay attention to little aside from ability to run SH HEs and a few weeklies. Companions that don't even use one of their powers has certainly been a bug with some of the leader types.

My GF's Tank loadout is a damage mitigation build, I can mitigate 63% enemy damage. Having a further 15% damage reduction from this companion would be very nice.

That 63% btw does not include KV, I don't know how damage mitgation works with KV but the groups I tank for don't complain.

Just ran with a friend running ACT and it looks like this companions Cleansing Touch is definitely broken. Was to odifficult to see if the 15% damage redcution was working or not. He's going to try and get hold of one and test on preview in a more controlled environment.
