IG: Reflecting damage game design (Illusionist's Gambit)

Nope - never seen a shield, I know JT can see them but a few of us either have completely missed them or just can't see them.

I'm running Gambit almost exclusively recently for the last +4 piece of equipment I need, I'm on PS4 and I don't get your talk about not seeing the reflect indicator on enemies. All debuffs applied by players/companions show up on enemies' red bar, but any buff will show below it on green bar (like the icon of small yellow dot when enemy is reflecting damage). All you have to do is to watch enemies' bars and look for that dot on green bar to know they're reflecting.

When I run on OP I always use Dev loadout and using RA, Bond and Vow and whenever there's reflect phase I just spam Shield of Faith for damage mitigation and to proc Beacon of Hope. It makes everything smooth. But when I'm on CW and using Oppressive Force, Icy Terrain and Coduit of Ice, if I miss the icon and don't cancel attack fast enough, or other mobs come into IT and then also proc Lightning, or worse they start reflecting after casting AoE and DoT attacks, I'm usually done unless I somehow manage to dodge long enough before my stamina runs out and they die or stop reflecting. But what's even more annoying is when there's reflect, fire on the ground and you also have aggro and no way to heal yourself. What should I do then? Use OF and IT to stun and freeze mobs but get killed by reflect because I won't get enough heal from Life Steal, or let mobs beat me to death? Can't dodge all the time. Normally when there's reflect phase but enemies don't reflect yet I just spam everything because faster they die less chance for them to start reflecting, and if they start reflecting after using AoE and DoT attacks I'm most likely doomed anyway.

And BTW, what's the point of leaving after bronze when you can get +4 gear only from silver and gold? That's the waste of time for me.

I'm fairly certain my not being able to see them is probably due to the fact that there are two people on PS4 at my house at all times - I also only see about 50% of the aoe's that are out there. It's most likely a lag issue on my end.

I don't get the bronze thing either. We go gold every time we run unless something happens and we get glitched.

Supposedly Bronze can still drop +4. Unless there has been an official dev statement saying it can't happen or a video showing it does happen, we can only guess what the drop chances are. Also, people run it for fleece.

It also yields full skirmish RAD at bronze and either 1k or 2k in salvage, BoE so possibly a sellable item. Contrast MotH and DL which mostly give transmutes/junk or the Underdark ones that have no chance at sellable item, take longer and can be tough to get a good enough result to get a ring drop.

I just wish they would make the +5 drops from Gambit have two enchant slots plus an overload - unless they are planning on putting out some super spiffy companion only overloads I don't get the point of the overload slot on the companion gear

Yes. Agreed. I have two thus far and both are in my tank personal bank just in case they do this. But chances are it will be only the +5 going forward and not the older ones we currently have.
