Change Request - Item tooltips

The tooltip colour is black, a large black box that constantly obscures the picture when in combat. This is an extremely annoying feature. It's also worse if the player inventory is full and most of the screen is obscured.

You are aware when the player is in combat mode as you change the stance to combat from idle.

I suggest the following amendment:

When player is near an item to pick up and combat flag is false then display item collection tooltip with black background, else when player is near an item to pick up and the combat flag is true then display item collection tooltip with transparent background. All letter colour remains the same ( suggest you check how this handles in Icewind Dale due to a white background).
If the player attempts to perform a pick up of the item, check the item inventory has space available, if there is not enough space available do NOT attempt to pick up the item and display in red letters with a transparent background that the inventory doesn't have enough slots. This display message should not be a display box that the player must close. This should simply be a message much like you would receive when you attempt to perform an at-will attack and there is no target selected.


Expected Result:
When in combat the large black background for an item pickup doesn't show on screen, instead a transparent background for the tooltip will be displayed resulting in the player still being able to see what is happening on screen.
If the player inventory does not have enough free slots for the item(s) then the item(s) are not picked up and a message is displayed on the screen that the inventory is full
If the inventory is has enough slots available and the player attempts pick up then pick the item(s) up and place it/them in the player inventory.

Actual Result:
A big annoying black box is displayed on screen and impedes the player view. If the player attempts pick up of the item(s) and the inventory does't contain enough slots to accommodate the new items then another bigger box is displayed that states the inventory is full and needs to be dismissed by the player whilst in combat.

    This would be a vast UX improvement to the game at all player levels.

    Well thought out, and I like how you played through each role of the SDLC in your post from user story to dev work item to QA of the fix.
