DPS which char

I play few months and i have fun with my gf but now i looking something new.
I want play DPS char. When i play a see a lot of ppl GWF, CW, SW, TR, HR, GF who can get large dmg. But pls tell me which char, with the same eq is the best and why?
I dont want GWF i dont like this char. Now i think about SW.

SW is fun. It is my main toon. They can by squishy-so you stay away from combat on most builds. When you you have a proper build and good rotation it can melt adds and bosses. CW is great for add control. Tr is a lot of build and rotation to get best results. Slower killing of adds because it does single target damage. Would recommend getting with a guild and doing some runs to see their play style with their dps toons.

I personally prefer the CW or Hunter ranger over the others as they both offer the group some decent crowd control effects.

SW, TR and GWF are classes designed around pure damage without offering anything really to the group other than damage.

To me any class that does not bring anything useful other than damage to the group is a wasted spot in a que. Adds need to be CC and knocked around, etc...give me an extra DC, GF, CW, HR, or Paladin over the other classes. Burn might be slower, but the group will still get stuff done.

Ouch.... that post hurt my feelings^^.

Some SW Builds are now in Mod 10 not only dps, they have with Pillar of Power now a very useful debuff and a buff encounter at the same time.

The TR (Pve build, most of them Mi Exe), is for me the only class with the stealth ability to do a safe CC via dazing strike, smokebomb, so the whole party can far better burn add groups, espaicelly in low ilvl partys.
So even in boss fights he has a good single target dps and the debuff ability via wicked reminder, sly flourisch and courage breaker.
Sure the Tr needs some tweaks, so that he his an viable option to other classes, and most people playing with an PvP build and more PvP oriented encounters, dailys and at wills and for me that is one reason, many people doesn't know how good or bad the performance really is.

SW rules i loved my sw right from the start its fun to play you are mobile and can controll buff debuff and dish out loads of dmg.

your already playing one of the top DPS classes in the game (gf) if you want to try something outside of direct melee, I would choose a sw/cw and maybe a hr.

Ok thx all for your answers. I probably start play with CW, this char is interesing. I dont like GWF, now in game i think 50% gamers play this char. In pt when i going with my gf buff, a lot of ppl (GWF) dont play with other players. They all time ran quickly ahead to hunt down enemy or they boasted his DMG. It's stragne and embarrassing. Another annoying thing was when i do campagins with my gf (weak dps), all time some GWF attacked "my" enemy -.-
Maybe someone know good DPS PVE build for CW (PC)?

Regarding cw u may want to check out sharpedges cw guide its in the class forum.
it covers almost any build u could think of

Although GFs can be very strong for dps now, if ur planning on pug groups then you'll be expected to tank usually. If ya just want a strong melee dps that doesn't have that stigma then I'd just roll a Destroyer GWF.

If ur going solo then either class can work, though the GWF is prob still a bit easier to break in.

Sharpedges cw guide probably is great, but it's a lot of information, i dont know to much on this char so this guide there are too many inf.

Ok you are right on that
my friends always advise to go SS Renegade for beginners. So u can deal good dmg and provide usefull buffs to group i am no cw expert tough
