Having the same issue bladestorm not procing from plant growth we should be doing way more damage.

From what I can tell, Blade Storm activates with actual melee attacks, that is ones that are blade based (Steel Breeze, Rapid Strike, etc) but does not activate with root applying encounters like Plant Growth or Hindering Strike.

This may be by mistake, or by design for the XBO version. Who knows.

Regardless, it makes Blade Storm a POS to have equipped unless you're a full on melee build, so equip something more useful and original because it's honestly just wasting the slot as is.

Blade Storm works with Hindering Strike and every other melee stanced attacked. Just not Plant Growth. So your theory of it not applying with "root based attacks" is invalid.

Plant Growth is NOT a root based attack. It does not apply Weak or Strong Grasping Roots.

Actually I had Blade Storm on today as I was soloing and I found something very interesting. I slotted Terror just to switch things up a bit, and it seems Blade Storm works perfectly fine with it. Plant Growth, Hindering Strike, Rapid Shot, whatever, Blade Storm procs... as long as you're using Terror (or not using Dread).

Now I assume it's not Terror that's special but rather Dread that's broken. I didn't bother to test further by grabbing other weapon enchantments off of my other characters, but at the very least Dread is seemingly inhibiting Blade Storm in some way. It could even be that it's just not displaying in combat -- you could always check the Log to assess that.

I'm not going to test any further but there's definitely something wrong and it's not Blade Storm itself.

Retested it without enchanment on and then with Vorpal. Plant Growth is not Procing with Blade Storm. However there is truth to Blade Storm Procing with Terror does 74 dmg procing with Blade Storm but with the dmg Terror does itself not Plant Growth. You discovered a glich. Bottom Line Blade Storm just isn't Procing with Blade Storm and if it actually did it would probably beat PF.
