Resolution Issues - need help

HI.
I play my game at low resolution for better performance.
Just for a test, I configured the game - using the GPU slide bar at preferences - to maximun.
Enjoyed the view, didn't play that way because it would be impossible, and configured the slide bar to minimun again. Aplyed
But now the game is stucked with high resolution in my char, NPCs, enviroment animations, and some other details.
It's not going back to low - configuring it with the slide bar or the buttons.
Anyone had the same problem already? Some tips?

All things I tried failed. Safe mode, reset at select screen, windowned to full screen changes... nothing solved it.
But I managed to fix it in a simple other way, I just deleted my pref files from the game folders and it reseted my graphcs sets. I just had to do some adjustments and its normal now.
