Your use of the forums provided by Gearbox Publishing constitutes your agreement to these Rules and Policies, which apply to all posts, profile information, avatars, signatures, and any other content on this site as well as your use of the Forums.

Limitation Of Liability
Please understand that: (a) members of the community contribute to the content of these Forums; (b) Gearbox Publishing does not control the content that is posted on the Forums and is not responsible for such content; and (c) Gearbox Publishing does not in any way guarantee the truthfulness, accuracy, legality or completeness of any such content.

You expressly agree that you bear all risks associated with such content and that Gearbox Publishing is not liable in any way for such content, for any errors or omissions, or for any losses or damages incurred as a result of accessing or using such content.

These Rules and Guidelines are in addition to, and not en lieu of, the terms and conditions contained in the Gearbox Publishing Vanilla Forums, Gearbox Publishing Community Policy, Gearbox Publishing Terms of Service and the Gearbox Publishing Privacy Policy. Gearbox Publishing reserves the right to change or modify its policies at any time for any reason.

Report violations, do not quote them or reply to them. Responding to a violation in an inflammatory manner is a violation in itself and will result in appropriate action. It is also important to not abuse the Ticket system by excessively reporting posts, sending false alarms, or nonsensical messages. Abuse of the Ticket system can result in an infraction for spamming.

Enforcement
Community Moderators

Gearbox Publishing makes use of community moderators to enforce the Gearbox Publishing Community Rules and Policies. Moderators may remove the content of posts which are found to be in violation of these rules and policies. Community Moderators are selected by members of the Gearbox Publishing Community Team. The community may be asked to participate in selection of volunteer moderators, but the Gearbox Publishing Community Manager makes the final selection. When new moderators are needed, a Gearbox Publishing Community Manager will inform the community of how many moderators are needed and the application process. Community Moderators are unpaid volunteers, and their views and opinions may not reflect the views and opinions of Gearbox Publishing. In addition, as Community Moderators are not employees of Gearbox Publishing, their service to their community may be discontinued at any time they choose, or may be discontinued by a member of the Gearbox Publishing Community Team at any time and for any reason.

Any content that violates our Rules and Policies will be removed by a Community Moderator within a reasonable period of time after Gearbox Publishing becomes aware of it. Interpretation and enforcement of the Rules and Policies is at the sole and exclusive discretion of Gearbox Publishing.

If you violate these Rules and Policies and/or show a disregard for them, Gearbox Publishing and/or our community, your posting privileges may be suspended or terminated. Gearbox Publishing may, but is not obligated to, edit or remove any content without notice or appeal. These Rules and Policies are subject to change at any time without notice.

Gearbox Publishing Infraction Policy

The Vanilla infraction system identifies, and keeps track of violations of our Community Rules and Policies. The primary purpose of this infraction system is to maximize the enjoyment of the users of our forums. Please note that multiple or severe infractions result in a permanent ban.

Gearbox Publishing shall, in its sole discretion, identify infractions and assign the points value for each infraction. Gearbox Publishing reserves the right in its sole discretion to change the point value assigned to any infraction at any time. The following list sets forth some of the more common types of infractions. This list is not intended to be a complete list of all infractions.

Infraction points may only be given by a member of the Gearbox Publishing Community Team, and may not be given by a Community Moderator unless approved by a Community Manager. Community Moderators may suggest, however, that a member of the community receive an infraction point. Infraction Points may be given for violating any of the Gearbox Publishing Community Rules or Policies.

Disputing an Infraction
If you wish to dispute an infraction, you may file a 'forums and website' ticket on our support page located at: https://support.arcgames.com/. A member of our Community Team, other than the individual who gave the infraction, will review your dispute and make a final call on the matter. Once a dispute has been reviewed and actioned, the issue will be considered closed and not subject to additional review.

Gearbox Publishing has the final say on all aspects of this community. If you have a problem, you may make a complaint to Gearbox Publishing directly through our support site, and not publicly on the website. Creating threads or posts that question or reference administrative decisions or potential administrative decisions, such as post removals and thread closures, is not permitted.

Warnings
Community Moderators may issue zero point warnings when removing content which violates the Gearbox Publishing Community Rules and Policies. Warnings serve as friendly reminder of the Gearbox Publishing Community Rules and Policies and have no bearing on your account. As such, warnings may not be disputed, and will never be overturned.

Infractions
Posts and/or private messages that, in any manner whether directly or indirectly, involve any of the following activities may be subject to an infraction. You can find descriptions of specific infractions below. Should you have questions regarding any of these infractions, please file a 'Forums and Website' Ticket on our support site, as outlined above.

Infraction Points are as follows:

0: Spamming, signature/avatar rule violations, minor flaming/trolling.
2: Flaming and/or trolling, harassing material, inappropriate material, posting private correspondence, illegal drugs or activities, real-life personal information, posting cheats and hacks, minor hate speech, sales and trading.
May also receive if you incur another zero-point infraction within two weeks’ time of the initial infraction.
3: Repeat offenders, which slightly resembles a three-strike rule. If you’re given a zero-point infraction and receive another in two weeks’ time, you’ll receive a two-point infraction. If you receive another in the next two weeks’ time, you’ll receive a three-point infraction.

We know that people will leave our community from time to time and to that end, we generally do not delete accounts, posts, or other content posted on our community. You hereby grant Gearbox Publishing and our designees a worldwide, non-exclusive, sublicenseable (through multiple tiers), assignable, royalty-free, fully paid-up, perpetual, irrevocable right to use, reproduce, distribute (through multiple tiers), create derivative works of, publicly perform, publicly display and license, digitally perform, make, have made, sell, offer for sale and import any and all of your postings in any media now known or hereafter developed, for any purpose whatsoever, commercial or otherwise, without compensation to you. None of your postings will be subject to any obligation, whether of confidentiality, attribution or otherwise, on our part and we will not be liable for any use or disclosure thereof. All of your postings are granted to us with perpetual electronic publishing rights because any content posted on this community becomes a part of the community, even if you no longer are. You may request an item to be removed at any time, but we will decide when and if to remove content from our community.

When mentioning, referring and/or linking to other websites, you must ensure that the content of the mention, reference and/or link is appropriate for our community and in line with these Guidelines. If you mention, refer to and/or post a link and such mention, reference and/or posting is automatically censored, it is considered to be inappropriate and you should remove it from your post immediately.

When posting and linking to images, videos, files, etc., please refrain from hotlinking. "Hotlinking" includes, without limitation, providing a direct link to the file, even if that file is not embedded into your post. Hotlinking costs the server owner money and resources.

Keep all text in English in order to not cause any confusion. There are forums available in other languages, as well.
