Ward of the Sanctifier Not Shielding Creatures or Allies After Player Death

I have looked many places around and not found an answer, but are all traits disabled after player respawn? I haven't paid too much attention to other traits, disappearing after death, but Ward of the Sanctifier is critical to one of my builds, and does not work post mortem. I also could not find much information in the wiki or other forum posts relating to this, so I was wondering if this is a bug or a feature. It not working severely limits the tankiness of my creatures, and therefore the survivability of the build. It is especially frustrating when Betraying Ground, Air Support, or Death's Servant are active, where you can die before you can input commands to move.

After playing some more, the Molten Shell granted to creatures from Orb of Shiv does not seem to trigger after player death either.

    For visibility and further information, here is video evidence:

    Edit: Player death is at 0:26. It should be seen clearly that the secondary ability heals creatures before and after death, but there is no shield when healing the creature after death.
