Open the Graves Functionality

I was running the Mana Rig event and when using the spell Open the Graves, this only worked when my creatures died from being killed by other creatures and not when I sacrificed them through various means. And no, they were not tokens, I didn't have token creatures because Open the Graves wasn't working.

    You had this problem just in the mana rig event? I was playing with Onslaught + Open the Graves last night and was generating plenty of zombies in Tazeem.
