Mana Rig Mayhem - Enemy in Center Area, Effectively Stopped Mission

Today, on my first Mana Rig run after the patch, a scorpion ended up in the center area of the rig where it was effectively immune to almost anything that could be thrown at it. Neither Mind Mage primary or secondary could hit it. Most spells were either blocked by the objects along the center rim or failed to hit even if the AoE did cover the spot where it was. Rampage successfully hit it but it took two casts to kill it.
No other enemies spawned while the scorpion was in the center and when the clock ticked to 0, the objective remained to kill the current artifact creatures with the boss not spawning until the scorpion was finally dead. This resulted in a much lower score and the mission would have had to be cancelled if one of my equipped spells could not hit it.
This was the first time the bug has occurred and I ran the Mana Rig quite a few times over the last week before today's patch.

Updating to state that this is still occurring after the hotfix today.
