I too started the game doing exactly the same thing, questing. I enjoy it and some of the quest stories are pretty fun if you have the time to read them as well. The XP gain is so fast even through questing that I had surpassed most of the lower level instances.
I sent you a friend request from here on the forums, so if you find other's who are interested please let me know. On my next days off I think I'm going to create a new character to RP with and I'll check out Marionettes and see if they are still active over on the other server. I can let you know what I discover. :)
I was just about to ask the same thing and saw your post here. I know there is one on the east coast server called Marionettes, but I'm on Lionheart (west coast) and would like to stay there. I don't really know the FW lore, but I enjoy RPing my character through game in my own special way.
Lionheart has great peeps. I have met some great peeps in Paragons (guild). They're very helpful and welcoming. Make sure you're going to be an active player though before seeking a Master. Feel free to look me up in world, I'm generally questing or getting crabs from Nousen the Big Eye. lol
It's my first time playing in FW and the last time I played a bard was in the good ole days of another game. I'm going to give the Light/Wind spec a try and see how it goes. I have quite a ways to go and lots to learn yet. :)
That's a fugly harp compared to many of the others. I guess they were going for the rough and rugged look. I'd like to know where that drops as well. I'm still using my lvl 25 purple harp that I got for completing a quest cause I haven't run across anything better yet.
Players to pay keep the game running. I'm just trying the game out right now. I've paid 14.99/mo to other MMOs. The fact that I can choose whether or not I want to spend money on my entertainment is a rather cool feature. One month I may play for free and the next I can dump $50 to make my toon look cool if I like. :)
I haven't created a vamp yet, but plan to at some point. I'm sure you'll have fun with whatever you choose. You might look into the vampire class forums and see what others have to say. There are some pretty good guides out there as well. Good to research while you're still downloading. :)
I'm not sure of any specific guild that puts a label on their friendliness, but you might check out Paragons. You'll find a recruitment post. I just joined it today and everyone there seemed very friendly and willing to help, having fun is what it's about.

Just like everything else in life, it goes through cycles. I'm a new player and looking forward to playing here for a while. I joined a guild today and they were very helpful and friendly. I can't wait to learn my class. :)
I joined up today and I'm looking forward to seeing how this guild progresses. A bunch of fun and friendly people in there so far. Thanks to Nurse Betty for the invite and huge hugs to Hackin who gave me my first pet rock and was so very helpful with some quick leveling tips. *is drunk on Dreamland punch* Two thumbs up and…
World chat requires a flute. I just found out today. LOL I got a flute from a quest, but if it's a single use I guess I better come up with something amazing to say! I'm glad I got in with an active guild to get help with ?s. World chat would become very expensive otherwise. :D
Now that I'm out of the noob starter zone, I've found a home with a nice guild. Hopefully, it will stay that way. :) They've been so very helpful in just the 1st hour that I've joined. So far, I'm enjoying all of the discoveries of a noob. :D Doesn't seem like a dead game at all to me. :D
NooB to FW, but not to MMOs. I'm looking forward to playing a bardie again as well as a few other classes. I can see this being my new addiction for a while. I'm a casual player and hope to eventually find a nice casual guild that I can contribute to eventually. I wish there was a way that I could set my mouse so that I…
