Such a BIG fail, this is EVIDENCE right HERE that the management just PURELY half arsed it and simply DO NOT GIVE A ****. Do not come up with lame half assed reasoning or excuses to even attempt to justify why this was a good idea, because it QUITE SIMPLY AINT.

You know what would have been better?

30 vs 30 INTERNALLY. Then, when EACH server has arranged their best 30, those 30 go against OTHER servers best 30, i.e. Eryda vs Storm, etc. AND WHOEVER wins in that slug fest, THEN goes against CN's 30.


You cannot even fathom just HOW MUCH that would've been better in terms of organisation, but hey, now you just got a bunch of bads, scrubs, amputee noobs, chernobyl children in that lineup, its going to be the biggest laugh I had in a long while, oh PLEASE oh PLEASE top it all off and RECORD it for the sake of historical AMUSEMENT.

Have to agree with the above poster without the cursing however. and I want to see it so I can laugh!

lol to the list..80% of the guys frm nyos are low lvl arena farmers who stoped doin arena ages ago...and the guys who were at 2700+ a mnth ago nt even in that list..+ those guys with 2600 score not even lvl 80..while there are many other guys in top 30 arena rankin who are lvl 80 and i guess they completely ignored the 6v6 ranking...

I'm gonna laugh my **** off if in the tourney people will btch about who will lead, and others not wanting to follow a certain leader, since they barely know each other (I mean people from other servers)

Wow.. This list is so bad.. There are so many that have been inactive for months, arena lowbie farmers or even lower score and yet got into list instead of those with higher scores.

The thing I don't understand is this, if the GMs are saying their list is legit and is surprised at the amount of QQ or confusion on how the names of people got into the list, first ask yourselves why the amount of questions asked during the selection process in forums went unanswered.

This, I really don't understand. Crabclaw makes a post asking us to ask any questions in forums, but no answers? Seriously, what are you guys doing?

How is one GM coming in and saying, "This is correct." a good indicator of anything you guys do well. Less is not always more, and in this case more information is always better.

In a perfect world(pun intented) Everyone on that list would be decent/good/beasty. And they will still get smashed by CN. This smells of one thing; making china look awesomesauce. Ill bet there are skills,gear,accsesories that will be avail that we dont even know about yet.

Same thing happened in PWI..they made the decider of who went to china based on who could kill a WB..for a PVP event. At least each server was allowed to make their own team.

Anyway Crab, could we have a note on what time this will be? Since it's US + EU vs CN I can feel some weirdass time coming up and I don't feel like being around 4AM in the morning just to get my **** kicked.

Well it seemed like an interesting idea at first, but the execution thus far has been incredibly poor and lazy. All EU/US servers should've competed against each other first before facing the Chinese team for one thing.

Throwing together a lazy list of players based solely on current 3v3/6v6 score is farcical due to those who get 2600 at level 60 and then spend the next few months leveling and farming reputation to buy their purple gear. And when in reality, those players who do this method get absolutely annihilated still by those who are level 80 with blue arena gear because they did not farm low levels.

If PWE wanted to make a serious showcase of their game, and get an actual good competition on the go, they should've made the EU/US servers compete vs each other in 30v30 first, like the Chinese did and let the overall winner of that go on to fight the Chinese team.

As for selecting the players that would compete, no system is perfect and all methods are likely to have their detractors but there are many better ways of going about it compared to... this. An example would be, getting the guild leaders of the Top3/4 Rift guilds on a server (based on divinity/territories held) and asking them to work together to nominate a team of 30 players with 10 backups. Or a forum specific vote for each server (very open to manipulation however). Just examples.

Hopefully PWE will take on board this massive amount of negative feedback should they ever decide to do this again in the future, would be quite nice to have something like this every 3-4 months.

I'm not on any list, nor do I care much who is.

But I care that PWE is organizing such an event, that something is done for the game.

Maybe there will be a next time, and maybe things most QQ about this time - that really prove to be flaws - will be done better.
