mm runes

so i have no understanding of runes and how they work even after getting info ingame and looking on the forums. but a guildie showed me that the animations for skills can be recolored (or something like that) so she can shoot ice. my question is, does anybody know which runes effect which skill animations?

    i think its only some skills which are able to get recolored
    so far ive only seen it on mages and mms where the skill get blue/purple

    on mms their skill rake of fury gets blue and as far as ive understood it its not a specific rune u need its a specific amount of rune energy u will need in the burst tree
