u put points in extended harsh freeze but not harsh freeze which is an very good talent, i recommend ditching healing from barrier , since you only ever use it for full duration for the ensnare removal from windsdrive , its great as anti CC skill
and a wind mage without thenow considered OP by the majority mana drain skills will not be good imho
Ya about Harsh Freeze i'm a bit confused about that skill it says next ice skill will crit or whatever does that mean it will only crit once or will it crit every time for the next 20 sec?
I got the 4 points in Thunder Paralyze to synchronize with Lingering Fire, guaranteeing that I will have all that extra DPS instead of needing to simply hope 40% will proc it.
Yove got the Idea, but still failing hard!!... But better than the fire try
I can't tell if you're trolling or just unable to provide meaningful feedback. Say something productive or we'll never be enlightened by your great, infallible wisdom. One way you can do so is to argue based on facts about the talents themselves, not personal anecdotes of why you think you're superior. :P
Now for being frankly, like 50% of what you've red here about Ice Mages is bvllsh1t.
And I talk with property.
IMO best Ice Mage builds are Glass Cannon and Ice Cannon; not the same build. There are diffrence, also each player add it its personal touch but both have talents and purpose in common that makes em alike and diffrence at same time.
I went the Ice Cannon way, and It was great how many other better geared Ice/Frost Mages ran away from me on Arena or open PvP just becuz I simply could outdps em badly and drop em faster, so they just like human racial or badge up then ran away to avoid being CC. lol
Agh the good ol' times as Ice Mage.
If you want to talk constructively, I'd guess your build is similar to this:
...which I'd also go for if I cared about 1v1s, but I don't. I don't care for a dps-focused ice mage in Arena either; IMO ice mages excel as controllers (ensnare, stun, transform, slow, mana drain), not damagers (fire, lightning).
If you just want to flaunt your e-peen, go ahead. I'm going to ignore it henceforth.
Im not trolling, I say the sin but the sinner. You must figure it out.
Now about that last build. Not bad, not the way Id go or went as Ice Mage but not bad, looks interesting to try, but perhaps would take more meaning if youd be Kindred.
Anyways I think in overall (I dont make really high diffrences tween pvp/pve, cuz either way if you hit hard on pvp youd do for sure on mobs/bosses, so for me is all about a good build that works great on both sides), there are some builds that are better for each tree.
Fire Tree: Theres only 1 perfect build
Wind Tree: Theres many types, some of them are became sort of useless nowadays, thou they had their days of fame, so as for me currently theres only 2 viable great builds for this tree
Ice Tree, same case as before there are many ways to build it, in which we could divide those many ways in 2 main branches, of those 2, only 1 branch is the most viable on my sight, in that branch Id consider 3 great buildings.

You don't make really high differences between pvp and pve because you want an all-rounder build, and thus you assume I and others follow suit?

Nice build, thou perhaps Id do a lil change but its really good that way thou.
Looking at the key differences between that build and mine, it seems:
You prefer 500 more static dmg and 10% more crit chance for ice spike, 350 more bonus dmg more or less for both both ice arrow and ice spike, and 56 more water mastery. And I prefer to forfeit said extra dmg for stronger slows, and being able to reduce my opponent's mana to 0. So my build fails hard because of these differences? -- mmk, thanks for sharing your wisdom
Better geared mages than me ran away from me on arena when i dps on em their life drops like butter.
But I dont know what assumptions are you making about when I had not said a single build, Im just giving my mind about them.
And no Im not trolling Theres only 1 perfect build for Fire, the others "types" will be missing greater talents. And yes I dont make diffrences tween PvP and PvE, I just believe on a build that nukes the hell out both PvP/PvE thats it!

Do you mind linking the talent calc for these builds?
Xiryn: Human Fire Mage Hitoriki: Elf Light Bard
Endurance is one of the most difficult disciplines, but it to the one who endures that the final victory comes.
After Careful consideration of skills and reading everything i've come to a spec that I think i will stick with until the very bitter end. Fire Mage PVE build The guild takes out all the extra skills from the other elements so that you won't have to really try to worry about trying to focus on a lot of skills. Max dmg, proc + abilities that increase those, and just plain simple pure freek'n damage beyond believe. If anyone has comments i'm very open to suggestions.
Edit-->The build is not made to take damage, this is a group based character and lets pray I can find a good tank to keep up with all the stuff I plan on doing.
If so, put 1 point into Magic Dispel. Very important, purge after transforming someone in PvP so the enemy priest can't purify it (it will purify the useless fire resistance debuff instead).
Okay, I read some posts about fire mages here and decided to try making some high damage build: Fire mage
I'd like some opinion, like: Would it even work, and what should definitely be changed ;]
Thanks in advance:)

Been too lazy to cash out the money on a character that's pretty much an alt at this point.

That looks like a really weird build, what is its purpose? Single target DPS on bosses?
Because you pretty much maxed all the single target damage and debuffs you can get, but didn't take Flame of Fury (an AoE) and didn't take -2s CD reduction on Rage of Demons, so pretty much your AoE capability will be low...
Also, if it's for PvE, don't get Force of Protection as it's mainly a PvP talent. If it's for PvP, then the build is bad... and no Swift Transform???
EDIT: And no Fire Shield? 2 points for 5% crit chance is worth it even in PvE.
That looks pretty decent, but I'd remove Vaporize as your cooldowns will be very low anyway. Reflex Mirror only if you go evasion IMO (quite expensive for re-id).
Also, Advanced Flame of Fury is not a necessity, it's up to personal preference -- it's mostly useful to take down super geared priests when you have time to debuff them.
