    Just dropping in to say that if someone flames/trolls on an alt account (like what recently just happened here) I'll just catch you immediately, permaban your alt, and then ban your main for a few weeks or something. I will not be warning alternate accounts, since it's obvious they don't intend to follow the rules by posting flames on one.

    How do you ban people who live on the same network? For instance, if you banned me, would my sister or fiance still be able to post on the forums even though techincally we all share the same IP?

    I'm not an administrator, but i can try to answer anyways. You might know this also, but whatever, it's how i think it works and might clarify a bit.

    I think he is just referring to an account ban, not an IP ban. They are two separate things. Where an IP ban would involve a complete denial of access to the site (whether you are logged in or not), an account ban (even if it is a permaban) would not restrict you from going onto the site on another account, or without an account.

    So IP ban: No access at all. Even without an account. I would also assume that anyone else sharing the same IP would not be allowed on the site either.
    Account ban: You cannot post on the site with the banned account. Others on same IP can, and other accounts can as well.

    There's a chance I'm wrong with this, but in my experience on forums in the past, that's how it would work.

    Well I mean, I'd expect he would be able to tell if it's someone's alternate account by the IP. But I have two people who live with me who also play FW and it would suck for them to have their account perma-banned for something that I did. Or vice versa, for me to be banned for something they did.

    They probably compare account details coming from the same IP e.g name, email, login name. They might even compare similar grammar, who knows

    most likely ip bans= mac address bans mac cannot be shared by the same cpu but they can be forced to change ^^

    Okay, so, we took a 3 week vacation. That's almost a month. I think a month is long enough for our enemy guilds to gear themselves up, get organized and not suck enough to actually stop dodging all of our wars... right?

    gladly accepting...we have lot of new ppl that need to be tested and evaluated in mass pvp...no better test subject then ur guild atm...details in game...cuz we have lot of jobs with guild base and takes lot of time so we need to pick best time for pvp...
