Put a Servertime clock in game

please put a servertime clock in the game, so we can see what time it is without having to search the time difference for pdt, cos not all of us live in USA a lot of us are in Europe, cos half of the events we miss not knowing the right time.

Nice! After reading 20 horrible ideas I found one that would actually be an improvement. Keep them coming!

I think a countdown timer for event would be better, server time would break immersion.Current preference: markswoman (21%); vampiress (19%); witch (15%); femme fatale (13%); bellatrix (12%); priestess (10%); trobairitz (9%); big-ugly-rock (1%) (disclaimer: word taken from dictionary and not necessary accurate)

Im searching for the US time right now, and i was searching for it in the game too. Would be really nice a US clock inside the game.

I suggested this in the Closed Beta sub forum, so ofcourse I agree. ;D[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
This is Onomatomania, my avatar thing is messed up. -
Yes, it would be great to know exactly what's the time is :P
If you don't have a right to put a clock on the interface then maybe some kind of command to type at the chat or just a countdown at the net site.
Any way is a good way :P -
+1.

I'm all for having the in-game clock, but even it they dont have it, I normaly play my games in window mode so I can see the time on my comp for eventsSwordsman Moderator, Forsaken World Moderator, Jade Dynasty Moderator

Having a UI in general pretty much breaks immersion.
Not that the people who are constantly talking about lolcats with inexcusable grammar don't already do that. -
I agree APPROVED!![SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

+1000000
Would be one of the most useful additions. -
Great idea, but really all I want is a way to adjust the event calendar to my timezone. Then I dont have to convert time at all , the calendar would already be synchronized to me and gives me heads up notification!

for the meantime, I use this small app
http://www.filehost.co.za/file/1003-5536572257.html
it was designed for another game (hence there is a GM time)
basically, its just a small windows app that scans your local time and then converts it to PST (GM time) and EST (server time). the app window will stay on top of any window you have open (including the game) so you can see it all the time.
since forsaken world also follows EST, im using this small app for now
credit to the one who made it Zeolite1 from grand fantasia (at least i think he was the one who made it)This program displays your Local time, Gm time and Game server time.
Here is the link: http://www.filehost.co.za/file/1003-5536572257.html (V3.1)
Plz scan it for viruses b4 use, why because its good practice.
How it works:
- Red button closes program.
- Yellow button makes clock invisible and buttons become transparent.
Note: For some strange reason in Win7 64Bit u cant click on whats below clock, but at-least u can see more. Other os's it works right.
- Green button allows you to move program.
Note: You must hold the mouse button down and then drag it.
The program also includes daylight saving, which wont affect any1 until next year.
The resource folder must be there for the program to work. If for any reason the text file gets messed up then delete it. Program will default at 0, 0.
What it looks like:

Good news, in a recent thread CrabClaw said they are adding in a game clock. It seems out suggestions and support for this idea had in impact ^^[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Anyone who's in CB, has the in-game clock been implemented yet?
Pls n Ty[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] -
Hmm... originally I was going to agree with the masses on this one but that last suggestion has a lot of potential and sound reasoning behind it.
-
you are all bad. every single one of you.
when you press U the event timetable pops up, and it's marked at every 1-2 hours. whenever you look at that time, you will always know within 1-2 hours how far away any event is that day, and you can then add those hours to your own clock and figure out when the event is.
There's absolutely no need for a clock in game, and if they really ARE going to implement a clock into the game, then thanks for giving them something to waste their time with as opposed to actually doing something which would have been more beneficial, such as bug fixes. -
Server Clock may break immersion, but if that's all they can do it would be a good addition (of course hotkey it to toggle on/off)
But a countdown timer for events would be great.Saidje
Having a high post count doesn't make you anything in the game.
Unless you're attempting to kiss up to a GM and you KNOW what that makes you. -
Totally agree that we need some server time setup ingame. It's hard to work out game time especially as i have to -5hrs from my location every time.
