PvP Combo (Level 26-)

I've dueled a few classes and won against
all but one (Priest). I lost that battle from the
beginning though since I could not match his
heals nor out damage them.

I since dueled a level 23 Warrior and won,
a level 20 Marksman and won, a level 20
Protector and won, and a level 22 Assassin
and won.

Someone put up a chart a while ago and
put the winnings out of 3 duels for each class
VSing each class. I think that guide was completely
irrelevant. It totally depends on the person's skills.

I used a similar combo on each and after that it
was merely a matter of healing myself in between
pumping damage.

I put talent points into Evil Flame Cuse and Curse Energy
to begin with. That gives me a resistance debuff where
their Dark and Fire resistances are reduced to 20. (level 2)

I'd say the Protector and Assassin were the most troublesome
for me. Protector because of his HP, and Assassin because of
his stealth, but I was able to counter that.

I'm going to say first and foremost, Feast (skill) is a beast.
The Assassin stealthed at the beginning but by targeting a mob
nearby and using feast, I canceled his stealth. I had to kill him
within 30 seconds before his stealth cooled down so I used Evil Flame
Curse and then followed it with Evil Flame (Resistance debuff) then
spammed damage.

The protector lasted the longest due to his HP, but it was a simple
matter of rising the combo over a second time and he was down.
My combination is as follows: (remember this is with my specific
talent effects)

Vampire Form-> Feast->Evil Flame Curse-> Evil Flame->
Vampiric Kiss-> Charmed Strike -> Dark Ripple -> Vampire's Sigil.

The combo is prone to change afterwards due to cool downs and the
situation. I try to use Evil Flame Curse and Evil Flame as often as possible
when they cool down, which is often. It's the main source of damage since
they debuff the target's resistance. Then I can use Dark Ripple following.

This is purely nub PvP. The above will become irrelevant once the level cap
is taken off in OB. I'm just getting a feel for the Vampire class at it's current
level and what it can and can't take on.

Good for you but i feel that 1v1 PvP is useless except for duels....... As its is extremely rare for two people to go into a fight against each other solo in a MASSIVE MULTIPLAYER online role playing game

EDIT: Btw what level were you?

He states in his title he was 26*

I myself have been quite underwhelmed with Vampires as a whole.

As a mid 20s Priest, I rolled over same level vampires in duels. I hit harder than they do, and I heal for more.

I suspect though looking through the skill trees that Vampires will even out towards ends game and be slightly better than what they're perceived to be atm.

*She, lul. Duels are about as close to PvP I can get at the moment,
so it's better than nothing. I personally would engage in open PvP
instead of duels to get an idea, since duels are meant to be 'fair'
without using pots and so on.

I prefer going all out, it's the only way to truly test a class. I think
the cap was only going to be expanded to 30 in phase 2 which is quite
sad, since I agree that a lot of the classes including Vampires will become
    much stronger later on.

Overall I haven't been entirely impressed with the Vampire class but
I reckon the talents can make a huge difference.

There's no need to hate though. This thread was to provide some idea
to other Vamps of alternative builds they can use. We're very limited
in what we can do since level 29 isn't even a third of the game content.

Low level =/= end game. Vamps have great early game pvp because most classes cant out dmg their heal/dmg but late game when burst and stuns are alot higher you will fade out.

their dmg falls off late game and they wont be able heal through the dmg of most dps classes.

At 3x I could burst them down to about 25% hp then after my stun wore off they could heal up and just out last you. Around 4x+ players get more skills to deal with the **** heal and can deal more dmg faster.

So far i've won every duel i've fought in at the same level as mine, Vamps really do have some nice Early game PvP, Dark Contract at lvl 3 gives me nearly half my HP. So far the only one who came close to beating me was a Protector who managed to outlast my assault and reduce my mana to nothing when his HP finally caved.

As for my talent setup i've gone with Dark, Demon Of Darkness maxed out gives my main spam skills either a 10% (Vampire Sigil) or a 20% (Dark Ripple, Dark Contract) chance to activate Vampire mode and with talent points into reducing the cooldown for Dark Ripple it really helps.
