Black Screen Every Few Seconds

OMG this is annoying, this is my last hope before I think about quitting, my game keeps blinking black every 5-10 seconds for a duration of about 2 seconds, and its making my experience terrible, I got this game recently... THE BEST MMORPG THATS FREE! No doubt about, but if this keeps occuring I may have to delete this game and move on

I really need help on this problem, PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP!

did you check your graphics card and make sure it meets the requirements?

did you check both your card and direct X to make sure that they are up to date?

as for making sure everything is up to date, after you find out the type of graphics card you can look up the official site on the interwebs and follow the instructions to check your card

I found out the problem but I don't know how to fix it, its the lag apparently, everytime my computer starts hardcore lagging lol, the screen starts to do it, but when I wasn't lagging, my screen was perfect.
