Name: Nexus Force Website: http://nexusforce.enjin.com/home Category: Medium-Heavy RP Age Req: None established, but maturity is expected Vent / TeamSpeak: Not officially, but we use Skype very often for both in and out of game conversations. Special Reqs: Concept-wise we are very flexible. But the character concept must…
Hey there! In case you are still looking for a group, The Nexus Force has been open to recruits for some time. Our numbers aren't amazing, but we do hold events and storylines regularly. For theme we are definitely a modern superhero SG with agency-like tendencies. The team is still undergoing a bit of a change to better…
Here is some details regarding our Minor, Middle and Major ranks within our team (Note that this is a question on the application on our site.) Minor: This spot is reserved for heroes who are fresh out of their origins (typically teenagers or young adults). About two years or less in experience. The minor rank is also…
Comprised here is a series of "Do's And Don'ts" for Concepts Being a Modern Age SG, we take a very wide variety of heroes into Nexus Force. While we do like some flexibility it is nice to at least have a feasible concept. Supernatural: Beings such as Werewolves and Vampires are closely watched unless it is known that they…
The real spooky thing is that Human Combustion actually happens in real life. The audio of the citizens burning and screaming really hits you hard, it captures that sense of terror. Also, the "inside body" instances, gross, but excellently designed. It actually reminded me of a computer game called "ReMission", where…
Absolutely love this set so far, now just need a Bio-Armor and I'd be complete  In all seriousness, love the design. However I'd rather see two more things. A: The Spider Legs are either positioned on the upper back, or a separate version could be made of the new location. It would also be wise to place it a tad…
Somehow I knew Holo Armor would get on the top 5 list. And look at it eat up those likes too  definitely rooting for this one, so many costume possibilities.
That is only half-true honestly. If done right, an Arachnid Set could be used for alternate purposes as well. For instance, if the design takes a heavy "Biotech" feel it can easily pass for a Biotech or Alien Armor. Just because it's based off of the concept of a spider doesn't mean it has to be a blatant Spider-Man tights…
Hm. When you mention restricting the freeform system to promote team based gameplay. I decided to think a little on it. It's quite obvious the freeform system and all of it's glory is a big part of CO's fabric. So, and hear me out. A possible middle ground could be a slight restriction to two power trees (I.E Magic + Tech.…
It might be useful for Cryptic to do an Arachnid Set. After all they have both former COX players and Spider Man fans to sell it to. Not to mention the hype over the next Amazing Spiderman Movie.
The setting of Dark Champions looks very interesting, although I'd assume for the sake of an MMO the realism would be toned down somewhat. Personally I'd love to see an MMO on the level of (or around) the Nolan Batman Movies and the TV show "Arrow" which displays heroes on a more real level, or at least focuses less on…
My thought exactly. But a Biotech Spider Armor sounds great. Although when it comes to "Mecha" I'd love to see a sleek, high tech armor along the lines of light Iron Man armors (Or this if you want a more tactical feel…
Creepy Crawlers sounds like something many people could put to use. The Aranae may need a slight tweak to fit both genders. How about more of a "Spider Knight" armor feel to cater to the males, while throwing a black widow theme to the more female oriented parts? Love those two ideas though. EDIT: The Aranae goggles could…
Now. I'm sure a whole lot of people here would absolutely love it if Cryptic developed a "Champions Online 2.0" as an upgraded, all new, better version. But, there are more than a few barriers preventing them from doing so. For one thing. Cryptic may own Champs, but Cryptic is owned by PWE and without the proper finances…
/Signed Seriously Cryptic, the vehicles either need to include full on customization in their very next update or stop hogging all of your dev time. When we wanted vehicles we thought we would get something with customization equal to that of our in-game avatars, but you must have either misheard us or lost steam midway…
Quite honestly I was expecting Vehicles 2.0 to INCLUDE customization just from the name alone (since 2.0 is usually better right? Not in this case). But rather we get the same vehicles with only small stat upgrades. The time spent on this could have been better used on something else more constructive in my opinion.
Well. DCUO was going through a bad quiet phase when it came to their RP environment. I got bored after a while and decided to find another game to play. I looked up Super Hero MMOs for the hell of it and ran into MMO Hut's page on CO. I decided to try it out since it was free and I've been here since 2011  lifetime…
That...actually makes sense. My first thought was "Yep, totally inspired by Dark Knight Rises' batwing." In all honesty, I'd be much happier if the vehicles were as big/long as the hoverbikes or tanks. Looks more realistic. But this is CO so.... Considering the design, they should totally make a "Rocket Glider" vehicle.…
My only issue with the event is The Skyfox (New Vehicle). The thing is way too small, even by hawkwing standards. It even oddly looks like it does not even have a cockpit, The Hawkwing was okay for a single-pilot fighter. But this Skyfox looks too tiny to fit most regular sized heroes. I'm probably being nitpicky, I like…
I was just on the PTS. I gotta say, I love the event so far! Just a bunch of lighthearted, goofy stuff to do. Nice work, i'm particularly fond of the Batman Fandom vibe going on here. Speaking of: That movie foxbat suit looks awesome.
Night Spider, The Arachnid Avenger Born into a legacy of vigilantes. James Parker saw his very family murdered in front of him. He traveled the world, learning many forms of combat from many masters. He returned to Millennium City in the midst of the 2009 Qularr invasion, and since then he has been a tireless defender of…
Looks nice for those fairy types....Although seeing a guy in that would give me nightmares  I'm still hoping for a "Military/infiltrator" Armor or, hell, an "Organic Bug/Spider" costume. Do you think they released this for the upcoming Spring? Bit early don't ya think? Still. I know some Living Tree…
To me it looks like Tweety Bird in fancy clothing. Man just think of it... "I taught I taw a purple gang....I did I did taw a purple gang!" Just kidding. But I admit that DOES look a lot like Joe Carioca....
YES! Cryptic North, please make this happen. The cave Hideout already seems smaller compared to the others and that's without the extra rooms. Wonder if the Sanctum Hideouts have these rooms. I already know about the Space/Penthouse HQs.
Decided to experiment in the tailor a bit with existing costumes. I really like these outfits so far! Ebon Widow's 2014 redesign. Night Spider (Late 2013 to present)
With Cryptic North's recent actions I remain optimistic for 2014. What I'm hoping for in particular is more costume sets (We definitely need more styles of helmets to choose from), more power sets (even if it's a mini set...Just anything to try out), and possibly they could open up the locked up rooms of hideouts. More…
I play.....At least three villains. This one is my main, he plays heavily on the "shadowy mastermind" bit. But to the small amount of heroes that have actually met him he invokes a gentlemen like feeling....While he secretly has an assassin on hand to get you. http://primusdatabase.com/index.php?title=Ebony_Tarantula…
People are still a bit skeptical that City of Titans will succeed come launch day. However with MMOs such as Elder Scrolls Online coming around (Next year?) that might also do some damage to the playerbase. However, given that Auras might be pushed off may mean that they are checking for bugs or further polishing the…
Heck, if Cryptic North ever wanted to throw in hover cars they could use these. This is the Batmobile from Batman Beyond. A reasonable future car-like design.
Great job Cryptic! Perfect for the Scary Season! I love what you did with the face masks, however the metal material version only has one pattern. That and hoods/hats can't be used due to their positions in head wear. I'm not complaining though, this is a very welcome update. Keep up the good work!
If you're Freeform you can choose a power emanation point. One of which is head. For now that's kind of the closest thing to sonic scream powers as of today.
Awesome looking characters people. No lie. Decided to give Mr. Lantern a redesign for a more tech feel Lantern is mainly inspired by Green Goblin, Hobgoblin and Jack O Lantern from Marvel Comics. I also decided against the telepath powers and made him a gun toting bomb freak.
This happens to me on a constant basis. Currently facing it with two of my characters now. But yeah due to this issue, my main has over 40 costume incarnations over the past two years. Mainly due to concept issues. Also a pet peeve. I visit deviantART a lot for possible ideas, I get them only to find out that I have no…
