Wasn't the game already in cold storage? Kinda hard to put it in deeper.. Unless its like when you push something farther back in the freezer to make room for more icecream. You can never have too much icecream.
"Okay, one of the highest grossing movies this year was the Avengers, our one direct competition is dead..........but I'm still not quite sure this super hero thing is worth it"
Well, DCUO exists. As this and it are the only superhero themed MMO's currently on the market. The problem with DCUO is that unlike CoH and CO, it wasn't built with customization in mind. It has a barebones selection of powers, barebones selection of costumes (75% of which you unlock as character-locked pieces while…
Personally, I just attribute the jerky animations to the extremely rapid pace you shoot off powers in this game. When you activate an ability, it's not .5 seconds before you're firing something else. Again and again. And since the system tries to return your arms to the resting position between each power, it's really…
It reminds me of a glitch in Secret World where when activating sprint it fails to load the sprint animation, so you start running like a Benny Hill video.
Except the walking animations. Especially for females. If you don't use the sexy animation, get ready to look like you're trying to hold a tennis ball between your buttcheeks when you walk down the road.
Which is funny, because this is the same man that was quoted saying that you could release an unpolished unfinished MMO and people would pay you to finish it.
I can't answer for everyone, but if PWE/Cryptic announced that the developer team was expanded, and that they were working on a whole new zone (and proved it with updates like concept art/models), I would be fine with that. I mean, say it took three months. And in that three months nothing else would be added. Okay, well,…
Yeah, I was about to say, it doesn't whether or not CO sells DLC because it doesn't, and probably never will, have any. That one dev is running in his little wheel hard enough, and they've pretty much missed the window to wow anymore CoH stragglers.
SO what yOu're saying WE should liE to as many people AS we can to get THEM to spend monEy here. The point is, if you enjoy super heroes, give CO a chance (partially because it's you're only option) if you enjoy regular content updates, variety in activities, bug free play, and an assortment of end game content, you…
While I do think the list is unorganized, "People buy them" isn't the greatest defense for over priced items. It's like telling a cop you were speeding "because I can".
To be fair, anything that a particular group didn't like in CoH was "the thing that killed the game" AE killed the game, Incarnates killed the game, Sewer Trials killed the game, new powers stronger than the powers we had killed the game, new powers WEAKER than the powers we had killed the game. travel suppression killed…
No, not really. CoX had its own devs and studio, it didn't slow/shut down to move people over to a new game being released. GW2 was created and released waay before CoX had the death clock sitting over it's head. Though you are right on the first part. It's all hands on deck for Neverwinter, so until that's released CO…
You've discovered our secrets. Us CoX Refugees are actually a super intelligent colony of ants from space. We actually type by forming little fingers made from ants. It's quite difficult.
yeah that pretty much hits the nail on the head. eventually we'll stop using it, but a lot of us are still in that refugee mindset of trying to find a new "home". I mean, the game only closed 4 days ago. Or, well here's some advice from the last CoX Refugee thread. "Get over it." *reinserts earplugs*
Eh, I found them to be a little rushed, going through entire story parts before you even realize that this mission chain was a story arc. Like for instance, the Aces, or whatever the clockwork orange gang is, is led by a Qulaar. This would be incredibly surprising, if I hadn't only been introduced to the Aces (or whatever)…
There was certainly more of an air of realism towards proportions in CoH, even if the boob slider only went down to C cup. In CO it seems like the default proportion for men is "grape ape", especially for NPCs and enemy groups. Coupled that in with the cartoony faces and plastic textures and yes people could say CoH was…
Considering a much larger amount of people DID come to CO I wouldn't say you were "different than most" And hell, I was the same way. When the announcement came out I came over here, recreated my characters, sunk about 40 bucks into extra costume parts and tried to keep playing. Because I enjoyed my tenure in super heroism…
The night (or morning?) CoH shut off, the City players who were moving to TSW met with Radio Gaia (TSW's equivalent of Cape Radio) at Kingsmouth There were a little more than 4
I doubt it. CO will probably be alive for a very long time. On life support mind you, but alive. No matter how low its player population, or narrow its profits, it will sadly survive.
If I spend all my time leveling characters 1-20 and all the missions from 1-20 have punny movie quote titles then that's pretty much all I've seen. Sorry I'm not counting any of the new level 40 missions that you know..I can play right now. Clearly. The fact of the matter is I (or anyone else) shouldn't have to suffer…
That pretty much describes every f2p mmo though, CO isn't special in that regard. If we're using girlfriend metaphors CO is the geeky awkward girl that you kind of have to meet half way to do anything with her because she doesn't have any money and never wants to go anywhere and she has herpes so there's certain areas you…
I'm pretty sure when people said they wanted vehicles, they mainly just wanted a travel power for bad-**** normal heroes other than athletics. Not full on customization spaceships Not vehicle mods Not vehicle missions Unlike updates in other super hero games, CO doesn't have the resources for many updates a year, and them…
You get both "other area" missions from Defender, or SOCRATES, and the transport is the giant blue jet thats clearly marked on the over world map. (or helicopter right next to the blue jet) Going to other places isnt really that hard.
Huh, it just occurred to me I never really took a lot of in-game screenshots of my CoH character. I always preferred drawn..drawings for things like VV pages. anyways, heres a lowrez CoH Seismecca CoH link and, well, I COULD completely recreated that in CO, where would be the fun in that? So I remade her with some new…
Yeah, it took me a while to figure that out too. The first day I played, to me the menu system was horrible. Everything was scattered and hard to reach. My chat box was filled to the brim with everything. But, in a day I've finally whittled it down into something manageable. Every chat this its place, everything is well…
