I have nothing to contribute from a build standpoint; I just like the cut of your jib, sir/ma'am. I apologize in advance: don't be offended if you see another zombie survivor running around, probably with guns and a machete.
Yeah, I gotcha. I don't think they should alter any geometry to fit under the helmet, I just think they need to add a few existing hairstyles to the list, as I'm pretty sure they'll fit with a comparable level of clipping to the current hairstyles. As you say, a dev-style costume creator would be the best solution. But…
That is really excellent...the face is stunning! Makes me want to go back and really tweak the faces of all my characters; I honestly didn't know that the game was capable of that. She looks like she came out of an Adam Hughes illustration.
Are you at the tailor, or in character creation? I have a hazy recollection that the character creator costume pieces were narrowed down somehow for new players, because it was too overwhelming for first-timers. I could be completely wrong about that.
REEEEEALLY late to the party, but I have a question: why Expulse instead of Vengeance? I ask because a.) I'm knock-averse, and b.) Vengeance is ranged. Thanks for the great build! Just what I need...another alt.
Addressing your last question: Ultima Online and Star Wars Galaxies were both skill-based games, and both did well (this was pre-WoW, so the world was a very different place). As these games declined, they both went to class-based systems (which did nothing to slow their decline -- and, in the case of SWG, seems to have…
I ask because I, coincidentally, am also playing around with a munitions/invuln ranged tank build: since you're already building up monster dodge/avoidance, why not BCR in place of Bionic Shielding? Also: Is chest beam strictly necessary? It seems like an active defense would be welcome in its place.
You clearly have not heard about the "War on Christmas". Thanks, Cryptic, for the "Holiday Event" -- I was running around for hours like an idiot, opening presents, only to discover that I couldn't actually unlock a yarmulke costume piece. But, of course, there are turbans and fezzes in the game. Then my supergroup and I…
I know that Personal Force Field has always gotten short shrift because it doesn't play well with any other mode of defense. Unless it's changed (which it very well might have -- please correct me if I'm wrong), Personal Force Field takes damage before any other defense kicks in -- so if you have buffs to your Dodge or…
Honestly, I just have it at Rank 2 out of irrational superstition; I always put my form at rank 2, for absolutely no reason. I can't speak to Compassion's quality in builds without a passive HoT; I know that Medical Nanites keeps it up for me. Honestly, I don't even know how good it is compared to other forms -- I picked…
For Compassion, self-healing counts, so it's always at full stacks while out crime-busting; Medical Nanites, Sentinel Aura, and BCR all trigger Compassion (not sure about Fissure, but I would assume) as long as you're taking damage (solo) or someone in range is taking damage and getting healed by your auras (group). As…
I really like the concept, and I think it's clever to use TK attacks for water, but I think you're going to have a tough time without a form or an energy unlock. I hate pet builds (personal peeve), so this might not be up your alley, but I have been obsessively playing a weird ranged earth damage/passive healing build that…
I've been playing a very similar build (at around level 24 or so right now...I have alt-itis BAD). It's a machine; plasma beam just cuts through the cruft. I had originally planned to take energy wave, but I didn't see any need for it -- it's very rare that you can't catch everything you need to in the plasma beam. Here's…
Sign me up! Similar to how Earth is a hybrid Range/Tank set, I'd like to see plants as a hybrid Range/Support or Support/Control set. Control powers get short shrift in this game, and I'd like to see them revisited (I played a controller in CoH...a lot of controllers). It might be nice to shoehorn in some "whip" powers…
Thanks! I don't know anything about Night Warrior, so I'll have to take a look at it. All-the-time stealth doesn't work thematically for my character, but I like the idea of swappable passives.
