I'd keep the lunge, unless you don't plan to run TA. Unbreakable isn't a good AD for cosmics since the damage shield gets eaten up so quickly. One power I would try to fit into the build is a single-target stun or interrupt for pulling the dogs at Kiga.
Have the refresh be cd be consistently shorter than the debuff duration and/or be able to see whether my particular application has fallen off when others are using it and/or have the reapplication be a tap.
Actually, lunges having "no value" at cosmics is a little strong. I do use mine at the start of ape & dino as a quick way to apply challenge, but I wouldn't have one in my build just for that, since you can also just walk up and hit them.
Lunges don't have any value for a tank at cosmics; the ones that stun are actively detrimental to use on dogs & red orbs. The only place in the game where they're useful that I'm aware of is placing Grond puddles in TA, so I definitely wouldn't rank them. Emerging Nightmares would be a way to provide fear for Extra…
Gravity Driver, Crashing Incantation, Mental Impact, and Whirling Dragon Strike all do; I don't think there are any others. For this build, I'd probably pick WDS, since it's a click and has a threat adv. Since you took Close the Gap, I'm assuming you're planning on mostly being in melee anyway.
My sorc dps is int prime, but I see a slight dps increase in my dummy parses with the sniper gloves as opposed to a wrath fang w/ crit. W/ your crit chance I imagine you would see the same.
I would also ask that the current sort by date created on the character select screen be retained. CO is a game where you hop among alts frequently, and, as has already been pointed out, the CO character select screen doesn't do a good job of showing you at a glance which character is where. I only have one page of…
This looks okay for the core of a tank build to me. You're right that cosmics are very different from powerhouse testing, but they're mostly about timing your blocks and attacking to keep threat up, neither of which is hard. The main changes I would suggest are: -Changing your SS to Str/Con/Dex, so you can take Juggernaut…
I can see that you've given this a lot of thought, and it's given me a lot to think about, too. Knocks can be a troublesome mechanic when used by players or NPCs so it's clear that more consideration of their implementation... HAYMAKER!
The nine that have been found are on the PTS vendor, along with the googly eye cat, so either the tenth one wasn't put there to keep it secret or the cat is the tenth and we need to do something else to unlock it.
That's probably the issue with hits not registering at cosmics, which has gotten really bad again lately. I notice it the most on my sorcery character b/c his form stacks fall off.
Destroyer's Return? is on Monster Island at -145 198 -1723. For Shadow Destroyer, I unfortunately don't have coordinates, but it's in Lemuria next to a small submarine at the bottom of the kelp forest.
I'm presently using a Ego/End/Rec w/ a Dist Helm of Efficiency, and, tho the dps is a little lower than before, it works just fine. It's statted all Ego except for two End/Rec 5s in the secondaries. I'm using Mini-Gun and Chest Laser for two of my toggles, which seem to be better than their alternatives for getting Dist…
The division you've made into damage, energy, and con stats is a good way to start with freeform building. The most important qualification to that is that your "damage" stat is really whatever your form stat is, but for ranged that can always be Ego or Dex anyway due to Concentration and Chilled Form. Once you get more…
Endgame in CO now mostly refers to the four cosmic raid bosses and the Teleios Ascendant dungeon, all of which give Gold Champion Recognition currency. You can see what it can purchase on the vendor in the recog building in Ren Center, but it's mostly gear, costumes, devices, and a few powers. Ofc there's a few other…
You're right, Bluhman, it would obviously be very easy for the devs to add the foundry to CO, since it's already in STO and NW. I don't know why they don't.
With the development resources that CO seems to have, I wouldn't expect anything like this to appear. But it would be pretty sweet to use on my mage characters.
Oh, yeah, I forget that Compassion scales w/ Rec, since stacking Rec isn't really useful. Also, I didn't read attentively and thought you were the OP, DoomedLuke, so I want to apologize for jumping on your build and giving criticism/advice you didn't ask for. I feel like I should come up with my own build for Nyghtshroude…
It looks like you're trying to do a dps/healer here, but this build wouldn't be very good at meeting the dps or healing demands of those encounters. I'd probably focus on one or the other, but if you want to try to do both, I'd at a minimum stack Pre and include at least one good single-target heal. Some other things that…
The only change for me so far is that I sell excess stacks to the vendor, rather than building up big mega stacks in my bank. So I guess they're marginally more valuable to me now, since I get a small amount of resources from them?
Hex is actually a great power for darkness builds, since it has a good DoT and lets you apply fear on a tap. If this were my build, I'd switch Ego Sprites to that. Some other changes I'd make would be as follows: 1) Switch Shadow Form to Night Warrior, which lets you charge Ebon Ruin more quickly. (And gives your char an…
Currency still falls out of the sky during this event. And if you want to give coins to characters that aren't farming, there's still yellow crackers, polkadot crackers, and toy parts.
Now that we have one set of bunny slippers, that's at least something I can show my friends who were on the fence about trying the game, but we're going to need a lot more bunny slipper options if we're going to entice new players.
Looks to me like a decent endgame dps build. My advice would be as follows: If you swap to Ego for your PSS you can take Insight spec, which will let you drop CoAP in favor of another power (and let you take better advantage of 2gm's mobility). I wouldn't take BCR on a dps, due to the damage penalty. If you want another…
If you're asking whether PA or Infernal dps characters can do well soloing old content, the answer is yes, but pretty much anything can destroy adventure packs anyway. More generally, they're both good sets for dps. PA energy management is usually handled by a combination of the Overdrive unlock, the Insight spec from Ego…
