  • I have now been trying to purchase a LTS for at least an hour. The following are the steps I have been taking and are an in depth look into why whoever designed ARC should be beaten over the head with a 200 lb. tuna until their face has been rearranged into new and interesting shapes. Step 1: Click on the link that is…
  • I've tried logging in to buy a LTS about a dozen times now. The one time it accepted my attempt to log in it then said I had to log in again to verify that it was really me logging in from my computer. Every attempt to log in since then has been refused, because it says I don't have cookies enabled, even though I make sure…
  • Some people that played CoH were bugging me to come play. I wasn't quite ready to to walk away from that yet but, the day the shutdown was announced, I DLed CO and haven't looked back.
  • The aura storage should have been account wide to begin with, especially considering that they sell extra storage for auras. Without it being account wide, it's really unlikely that anyone will ever need to buy extra storage which makes the option of buying more pretty pointless.
  • Most MMO players are min/maxers, even if they don't realize it, and almost always take the path of least resistance. About the only way you'll get the majority of people to do content other than alerts is by removing alerts from the game.
  • That's a suggestion I can get behind. I'd also like a guy, vomiting in the corner of Caprice. Let's be honest, that's not the fanciest of clubs and, there's always someone that drank way too much every time I've gone to a club. Caprice should have some guy puking in the corner.
  • That's what the little pew pew palm laser is for (I forgot what it's called). If they run behind something, which almost never happens, you just rotate your character until it's facing them and obliterate whatever they're hiding behind along with them with your handy dandy hand laser.
  • When AE first came out, it was possible to PL seven level ones all the way up to level fifty in under an hour. I did it on my SS/SR brute. Triple stacked rage on a toon with a footstomp that recharges in four seconds and only has a five percent chance of being hit is a beautiful thing. Even after they heavily nerfed the XP…
  • Invincible is easy mode. I have one and love it. Tough as hell, can heal itself, reduces enemy damage resistance and, puts out enough damage that I can tank easily without having to use Crippling Challenge or Challenging Strikes. Unbreakable is on a 40 sec cooldown on my invincible as well and will only recharge faster as…
  • Good to hear. It's one thing when to have something in only for a short while if it's going to be a recurring event, like the various holiday events but, for some reason, when it's done with other content that's only a one time thing, never to return, it leaves me disinclined to even bother with it.
  • Is this new content going to be a permanent feature that people can play even after this event or, is it one of those things that they add in for a week or so and then yank back out?
  • I just remembered another one. I have a character that's from the paleolithic era They're around 5'4". I have had multiple people PM me, criticizing me and saying that my character is too large for someone that old. Now, here's the thing, I've actually done the research and looked into things like fossil records of ancient…
  • I am so tempted to do this now.
  • One of my toons regularly comments on that kind of behavior. After being repeatedly threatened with immolation by a self proclaimed hero because she once commented that they might have a crush on someone else she's become firmly convinced that having super powers induces mental instability.
  • I have a toon named Nike. I regularly get PMed with, 'LOL y u name ur toon aftr a shoe????" For the record, my toon isn't supposed to be the goddess from Greek myth. I avoid playing gods. I just thought it was a good name for a super hero that refuses to give up.
  • With the proper build, both types of kheldians were stupidly overpowered. They were the only ATs in the game that could self cap their resistance against every damage type. A peacebringer could do it perma. Warshades had to work a little harder at it but, they were the only AT in the game that could self cap their damage…
  • Are you sure? That's not how the OP reads. You didn't address this specifically to PvPers. It was addressed to the community as a whole. I don't bother PvPing on this game anymore because using an AT against a freeform built for PvP is usually a joke but, I think the main problem PvP has here, lack of participants, is…
  • I've been thinking they should put the old lockboxes up for sale. With the rates that those thing drop at, it makes no sense to have the current lockbox for sale for questionite since everyone gets more of them than they're going to unlock but, discontinued ones have things that players that weren't around for will want,…
  • That's not actually accurate. The only people that are guaranteed to benefit from a high exchange rate are players with zen that want questionite and don't want to farm for it. Regardless of whether the exchange rate is high or low, it has both pros and cons to it from the perspective of Cryptic trying to make money.
  • Yes, there's someone going out of their way to inflate the exchange rate beyond the simple amount caused by supply and demand. It's been going on since right after they announced the nerf to some quests that rewarded Q. If you watch the exchange enough, you'll see a pattern that keeps repeating. It's not just the normal…
  • You're not imagining things. Someone's been trying pretty hard to jack up the exchange rate. I'm not complaining about it since it's not too much trouble to just stock pile Q until the rate drops down again but, it definitely happens.
  • Of course supply and demand affects it but as I said, actually watch the posts on the top offers to buy zen window before trying to simply discount what I'm saying. There is a very specific pattern that has been repeated multiple times. Once you see it, it's pretty hard to discount.
  • Look at the Sell Zen tab instead of the Buy Zen tab so you can watch the top offers to buy zen and you'll see what I mean. It's something that's been repeated many times now and is impossible to deny once you recognize it.
  • It's actually gone under 300 a couple times in the last week or two and would probably stay under it if someone wasn't trying to inflate the exchange rate but, that's a discussion for another thread.
  • I really hate the following phrase because I basically see it as the fallback position of someone that simply refuses to believe something and has no counter to what they're being told but... pics or it didn't happen.
  • Obviously, Dr. Destroyer kind of sucks at it in comparison considering he had a decade head start and it was still named after David Xanatos.
  • You forgot mortal. Characters should be immortal and should also let others know they are immortal while letting people know they're looked down on at the same time for not being immortal by constantly referring to people as mortal.
  • I'm sorry but, no. David Xanatos is the master of the Xanatos gambit. That's why it's called the Xanatos gambit instead of the Dr. Destroyer gambit.
  • Denial is a powerful thing.
  • That is some extreme fanboyism you have going on if you're honestly saying that a game not succeeding is the fault of the players for not being vocal enough. Anyone in charge of game development that tries to say that the reason they didn't succeed is because their players weren't vocal enough in what the developers should…
  • The only time customers are at fault is when they buy something they know is crap or, when they keep giving money to something that isn't worth that money. Doing so tells the people providing these products that they can keep offering low quality products and people will pay for it. Everything else is on the developers.
  • I'd love to see the laser sword attacks expanded into a complete set rather than having it be just a few low level powers in power armor.
  • This is something I'd like to see. Personally, I think there should be at least one AT for each passive that the game offers.
  • You can go ahead and say it all you like. You're a well known fanboi that sings praises to this game's name at every opportunity. I also know that saving them all up to do all at once is a really bad way to do it unless you have a group of people to run them with because that's how I did it for a while until I realized how…
  • I'm gonna call bull**** right here and now. Either you haven't logged in in a long time or, you're not doing alerts. I get all my zen by exchanging questionite for it which I get almost entirely from doing the daily alert quests. Even when only doing alerts for the daily mission, you can end up waiting for around 10…
  • You're comparing something that can be earned in game by any player at any time to something you have to spend real money on and only get one month per each costume piece to get before that one is gone forever. That's a pretty bad comparison.
  • Actually, it is exactly that. Pieces that were offered in the past are made available again at a later date and, as much as I'd like to get some of these exclusive pieces, I'm not about to spend $15 a month for one costume piece on a game that has such limited content. There's far better ways for them to entice people into…
  • Waits for it...
  • That's not actually accurate. In TSW, you can get items that were offered in the past. In fact, they make a specific point to rerelease exclusive items at other times just so people that missed out before can still have a chance at getting them.
  • The benefits of being a subscriber are nice but, adding a costume piece that's locked behind a subscription and a time period doesn't really do anything to add value to a subscription. This is a pretty blatant attempt to get more people to subscribe and, it won't work. While some people may, others simply won't care and…
  • If I was in control of the C-stores, I'd make some pretty sweeping changes to it. Consummables, like sidekicks, catalysts, teleport devices, and joke items would all be moved over from the Z-store to the Q-store. They'd be expensive since Q can be gotten for free on this game. Anything permanent would stay right where it…
  • Can't log in and it's almost noon central time. Oddly, I'm talking with friends that actually are in game and it's not just CO. It looks like I can't log into any Cryptic game.
  • A billion is actually quite a bit of money. If I had that much, I'd start my own game studio. I'd also buy a little coffee shop where I could hang out all day and play the games my studio made while snorting coke off the backs of nude models. I would also have someone on retainer who's sole job would be to club anyone that…
  • You and me both. I dream of the day I can play an abyssal exalted and wade into battle in a warstrider forged from the souls of my vanquished enemies.
  • It gets easier once you've got a higher level toon but, you've still got the fact that you can only refine a max of 10k Q per day per toon limiting how much you can exchange at a time. I just looked at the current exchange rate which is between 300 and 400 questionite per zen which means that you'll be able to earn between…
  • I think the simple solution to this problem would be making the aura storage account wide instead of having each character have an individual aura storage. Not doing so makes them kind of look like greedy pricks and makes it more of a hassle to trade auras between characters to really make them worth buying.
  • Might want to stop and consider that the next time you're in Caprice and crying to RPers about none of the RPers wanting to RP with you then.
  • Considering that I got to have the joy of trying to RP while r9xchaos did exactly what people are saying could happen to me and a couple friends, not really surprised they're against the idea of a nerf being put on them. Every complaint, request that they stop, and threat to petition them was responded to with, "It's part…
  • This is news? I've known about that for months now and just assumed all the people who've been around longer already did.
