  • A bit late to the party, so apologies for that. However, I just wanted to touch on something that may or may not have been considered when leveling through Alerts. Heirloom gear. I'm not sure the current Alerts were designed to handle characters decked out in full sets, but with good reason. I level toons almost…
  • Exactly what I needed. Thanks, Bulgarex.
  • I know this is a couple weeks old, but here's this: PowerHouse (Link to this build) Name: Ajanus Archetype: Freeform Super Stats: Level 6: Ego (Primary) Level 10: Constitution (Secondary) Level 15: Endurance (Secondary) Talents: Level 1: Matter Manipulator Level 6: Enduring Level 9: Indomitable Level 12: Energetic Level…
  • I'm not even sure dps even matters anymore. All the cosmic fights are based on total damage dealt...not dps. The main thing now is trying to have enough survivability to stay in the fight the whole time to keep up a continuous stream of damage. It doesn't matter if you can do 15k dps if you only are in the fight for a…

  • I dunno...I like the new Ego Sprites. I leveled a DoT tank a few weeks ago and used Ego Sprites as the Challenging Strikes and the blast rupture (Mind Break??) as the Crippling Challenge, then used all the DoTs. I really liked it. Leveled almost exclusively through Alerts and only lost aggro a handful of times from 15-40.…

  • I don't see the big deal over it. Unless there is some unwritten Highlander competition going on, account-wide currencies doesn't "hinder" anyone...it only awards people for having multiple toons that can run the content. If you have multiple toons that can run the content, you 'should' be rewarded for it because of the…
  • How about next time just starting the thread off with something along these lines  I do like most aspects of CO as is, but yes, it can definitely be improved upon. As far as how you interact with NPCs and get missions and whatnot, that's all fine. I would love a couple of new zones for the 6-20 level range. Most of…
  • I'm not sure how many times I have ran through this game. I think I have around 30 pages of toons and I have never bought a single character slot...that's how many 40s. I have leveled all sorts of ways and I haven't found much outside of zone chat that would make me think this game wasn't "intended" for all audiences. They…
  • I've never done it. Never wanted to. I'd rather just buy Legion gear for my active toons since I can just buy that with G...the GCR gear itself does nothing to allow me to do things that Legion gear can't...and in a few months there will probably be another tier of gear released anyways, so grinding this seems more like a…
  • I hope she does outgrow me. Every parent hopes that for their children. Then maybe she will watch things with more substance like Daredevil on television then play games and complain they don't abuse women enough in them. I can only hope.
  • I have a 10yr old daughter that plays. She loves how everything looks. This is a great game for her to learn the basics on and has light humor that she can enjoy. She also loves to ask questions when missions reference something she doesn't understand. Explaining to her what a sex slave ring is and how she needs to go…
  • I actually just noticed this change a few days ago...my jaw dropped. I had finally gotten around to making a new 40 and wanted to do a few rounds of UNITY to get my gear @35 per. THEN I saw the prices...what the... Heroic gear is (or should be) ENTRY LEVEL 40 gear now...not this nonsense. Flooding the market? really...who…
  • Just dropped by and saw this. I was reading it all, and the whole time, thinking to myself...why is this so groundbreaking? I mean, it's a good build, no doubt, but Epidemic/DE builds have been around since...Epidemic... Basically just an Infernal build with Protector instead of Vindicator and Sonic Device over Fire Snake.…

  • The only 2 ATs that I have ever been impressed with (not because I played them, but because I saw people do things with them that made me notice...) were Unleashed and Glacier.
  • Isn't that like saying Optimus Prime isn't sci-fi enough since he turns into just a plain ol' truck? I like the Aggressive build too, but I would take Pulse Beam Rifle over Experimental Blaster, pretty much ANY passive over PFF, and instead of Support Drones...yep, Munitions Bots
  • I would probably go Evasive Maneuvers and Miniaturization Drive for the last 2 picks. Or another 'on next hit' power like Sonic Device or Toxic Nanites. Just something to make 2GM even more effective.
  • PowerHouse (Link to this build) Name: Archetype: Freeform Super Stats: Level 6: Ego (Primary) Level 10: Constitution (Secondary) Level 15: Recovery (Secondary) Talents: Level 1: Matter Manipulator Level 6: Enduring Level 9: Indomitable Level 12: Tireless Level 15: Ascetic Level 18: Quick Recovery Level 21: Wordly Powers:…
  • Your level 23 power "needs" to be Concentration. It will be a night and day difference.
  • Incentive? None. On a primarily ranged toon, I would say not to bother with melee unless you need something for specific situations, like Demolish debuff or a Dragon Rush buff. Other than that, not a lot of reason to do it. On a primarily melee toon, I can see taking ranged powers to continue dps during certain phases that…
  • Basically, all you need for this build: 1. Defensive passive of choice. 2. Ice Blast: R2 + Crippling Challenge. 3. AoE with Challenging Strikes. That's it. Throw in a self heal or 2, some active offenses and defenses, maybe some ice flavor powers, like Avalanche, and you got yourself a nice Glacier Freeform.
  • I am fairly certain that it does work with Thermal Reverb, but can't test it at the moment so not 100% sure on that.
  • It occurred to me this concept allows the use of both 2GM AND Epidemic...Drifter would be proud.
  • You should take this criticism with a grain of salt  1. I understand the concept, but you are banking your entire primary superstat on 1 power. AoPM...even from the healing standpoint, without superstatting Pre, you will still hit the softcap with AoPM alone...actually, you will hit ALL softcaps with AoPM. 2. IDF…
  • The thing with dodge is you either stat/gear/ability for it completely, or you don't... WotW kinda gets around it because it gives a decent defensive boost while being an offensive passive, meaning you intend on taking damage sometimes...but usually at "just the right time" you will dodge a crucial ability...that's really…
  • I think support is much broader than that. I mean, to me, if you take PBR and Planar Fracture, you can technically be support. The aura passives, especially AoPM are some of the most widely used passives out there, and those pretty much make insta-support toons. You don't have to be a healer, or even take Sentinel Aura to…
  • I had meant that it had 0 advantage points in it, not that it was actually rank 0...I'm sure Bluegrassbeast knew what I meant.
  • I would move Ranks from MD and BCR and take R3 Conviction. Without Con, you will likely need a much larger heal than R0 Conviction  Also have you tried Ninja Vanish? I messed around with it the other day and thought it was HORRIBLE. The actual build looks pretty decent. Just wondering if you are going to regret…
  • Confirmed. Just did MM with SC, it was actually pretty neat looking. I did stay hunched over firing missiles, but the added effect of the twirling swords and tornado effect was still pretty neat. Something I did notice: When moving, and both were turned on, my toon automatically would stay "pointed" at my initial target,…
  • Agreed. Ignore. Move on. NOTHING in Zone chat is worth the time it took to type...and if everyone ignores this person, no one will even read what he writes. Making threads to address the situation has already given him the satisfaction he was looking for in the first place. Just be done with it.
  • In most cases, Conviction is enough to make MSA permanent on a build. You just have to make sure you use it before combat, even if you don't need the healing. Having additional cooldown abilities won't do anything else for MSA, just makes sure you can have it running just in case you forget to put something on cooldown…
  • Interesting. You bring up some nice points. Such as the Rush of Battle with Dark Transfusion. Usually I try to build where that particular case would not be an issue for me, but that's nice information to know. Also, usually when building for Dark Transfusion, I wouldn't use 2 energy stats because that was the whole reason…
  • LOL that's almost exactly what I pictured when thinking about it.
  • Seeing Thunderclap makes me happy  It's still one of my favorite abilities. I might have to make something with Thunderclap and Pyre...
  • Looks solid. I have 1 issue with the build, but it is probably more of the anti-brick in me speaking out: Unranked Defensive Combo with Devour Essence + Crippling Challenge. Personally, I would put Cleave in for Defensive Combo and find room for R3+Challenging Strikes. Cleave is a great Enrage builder and henchmen…
  • DEX/Con/Int is a solid setup for both ranged and melee. I have come to prefer EGO/Con/Rec or Dex on ranged, depending on energy issues. As secondary superstats, I don't ever feel it would be necessary to include both Ego and Int. Reason being, as a secondary stat, the main purpose for it would be to fuel Concentration.…

  • I understand. I really wasn't trying to criticize, more like encourage you. I love many of your earlier videos, but you gradually went from Jet Li facekicking to Blair Witch black screens. I know what my post probably sounded like to you, but that all was coming from someone that hasn't pvped in this game in years, nor do…
  • I would also like to point this out: When you did videos awhile back, you had everything up: power trays, stat bars, device trays...the works. Those were really good videos because you weren't afraid to pan out to give the viewers something to actually see. I get that you want to have your secrets for whatever reason from…
  • Could also be: 1. Dots like bleeds, poisons, or any adv. that applies additional damage. 2. Damage from advantages of non-attacks like the reactive damage of Bionic Shield, and I think a few talent trees have something like this. 'when you get hit, your attacker takes X damage.' type things. The break-free damage was a…
  • I got a pretty nice bounty hunter look using Holo Hex armor and some other random techy parts. I don't have a pic loaded or anything, but I think it's decent looking. No clue really on how to make the Mando Helmet look...I have mine without a helmet and just some scars and paint to look battle-worn. I did manage to get a…
  • I think it's silly people get so bent out of shape over a THIRTY day time frame. Some months you even have a 31 day window...however, February is only going to give you a 28 day window so you better be on the ball that month. Really, if you can't login for over a month at a time, then you should accept you will miss out on…
  • I prefer Vindicator for absurd damage. I just don't feel like I'm getting my points worth out of Protector. I have leveled tanks with Hybrid/Bulwark, Tank/Protector, Tank/Vindicator, and even Hybrid/Vindicator. Really, the main thing I have noticed throughout all of these builds, is, if you want agro, you are probably…
  • I guess the way I see it: If you can't find $15 a month for some costume pieces you want, then you probably have larger problems than complaining about it on a mmo forum. @Sterga: Yes, there is a reason I play video games and not work on them  However, if you want to scrub out as a silver, then by all means do so.…
  • I think they are called "Forms" now, but I think we all know what you mean by toggles  I wholeheartedly agree with the STR/Con/Rec switch. STR spec tree is amazing for tanks since it capitalizes on Con Secondary across the board. Even more since you have The Best Defense from Warden. I would even go further and…
  • Something else worth noting: Primary Superstat trees often have benefits that say "This bonus scales with your Secondary Superstats." Having Con as a Secondary Superstat is that much more beneficial because then not only does it give you more HP, but will also now boost that particular benefit.
  • I've never had a problem with Hurricane's repel mechanic. Con is usually suggested because it is the best secondary superstat, no exceptions. EVERY toon, class, powerset, whatever can use Con, so it is never wasted. This adds remarkable survivability to your toon, so even the most dps-tuned character isn't as squishy as…
  • This is a pretty neat idea. Lifers and Golds: crap, suck it up, login, grab free loots. Do this once every 30 days and you get all the loots...not a difficult concept. Haphazard Golds: check the costume pieces that are coming out. If you don't like it, don't sub and save your bux for a piece you DO want. Silvers: Dear…
  • Unless chains is a part of your theme, I would replace Iron Cyclone with Hurricane. I would also R3 Athletics/Acrobatics. Regeneration should be R3...over everything else. I would also drop Rec or End for Con and find room for an energy unlock power in the build. Which lets you: Take Nimble Mind on Ego Surge instead of R3.
