Preview of item a recipe makes, please

It was ok when it only costs money, albeit annoying. Now that it's costing me Great Insights to get my recipes, I can't buy them all and ignore the fact that a lot of them are useless to my style of play. Great Insights don't grow on trees and I don't want to buy ones I don't need, so it is now imperative that I see what a recipe makes before I purchase it.

    Isn't there a little pop-up that explains what an item does when you mouse over it's picture?

    It's flavour text, I need numbers. "Makes the hero sturdier" does not tell me if it's +end, +con, +str, +def, or what. If I'm spending 3 great insight, I want to actually see the end icon with all the stats.
