Hello, mates. I really want to make giant tank. Offense/Defense stacking is good, but not the best. It's more for balancing damage and high defense. It's good against bosses, but it's paper against all crowds of 5 man hard hard. Well, just trying to find perfect build:

PowerHouse (Link to this build)

Name: Giant

Archetype: Freeform

Super Stats:
Level 6: Strength (Primary)
Level 10: Constitution (Secondary)
Level 15: Intelligence (Secondary)

Talents:
Level 1: Superhuman
Level 6: Enduring
Level 9: Physical Conditioning
Level 12: Healthy Mind
Level 15: Covert Ops Training
Level 18: Shrug It Off
Level 21: Quick Recovery

Powers:
Level 1: Clobber
Level 1: Mighty Leap (Crippling Challenge)
Level 6: Defiance
Level 8: Demolish (Rank 2, Below the Belt)
Level 11: Enrage (Giant Growth)
Level 14: Havoc Stomp (Rank 2, Rank 3, Challenging Strikes)
Level 17: Miniaturization Drive (Reciprocating Gizmo)
Level 20: Aggressor (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 23: Conviction (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 26: Bountiful Chi Resurgence (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 29: Howl (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 32: Unbreakable
Level 35: Energy Shield (Laser Knight)
Level 38: Molecular Self-Assembly

Travel Powers:
Level 6: Athletics (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 35: Superjump (Rank 2)

Specializations:
Strength: Swole (3/3)
Strength: Aggression (2/2)
Strength: Brutality (2/2)
Strength: Juggernaut (3/3)
Protector: Fortified Gear (3/3)
Protector: Bulwark (2/2)
Protector: Exhausting Strikes (2/2)
Protector: Resolute (3/3)
Sentry: Fortified Gear (3/3)
Sentry: Sentry Aura (3/3)
Sentry: Fortify (2/2)
Sentry: Reinforce (2/2)
Mastery: Strength Mastery (1/1)

Any suggestions?

Invuln handles trash mods better than Defiance, though that means ya lose the energy when hit, and have to rank Invuln up. Defiance depends very heavily on gearing Con, so maybe invest more in that if ur keeping it. Ranking up Unbreakable could also help, as could getting a 2nd AD and/or a block enhancer.

You'll prob want Haymaker for a build like this, as Demolish is too costly to use on its own and doesn't work w/ Enrage, and Havoc Stomp is best left as an AoE. If the long charge is an issue for Laser Knight, could always half-charge or consider Mighty Kick or something.

You'll likely still get higher defense w/ Wardicator than Protector and Sentry, while still netting better dps.

    1. Invuln is not as good as Defiance in big boss fights. I'm stacking Con mods in my gear, so it's not problem.

    2. I like the look of Havoc Stomp, so it's not a problem for me to spam it. Anyway, i can keep enrage stacks with Howl and stack it with Aggressor or Havoc Stomp. I don't have energy issues since i spam heals and Howl. Free energy.

    3. Yes, it's pure defense. It'd be okay, but it's paper against groups. Defiance is trully not a passive for big crowds, but i'm trying to improve it.

If you have the Imaginary Weapons skin for melee, I'd suggest utilizing some Heavy Weapons attacks such as Skullcrusher for your giant as a replacement for Demolish. It helps stack enrage and it looks very fitting for a giant.
    It's a game, not a ****. Don't choke on it.

    I own Koda Ortega. Yeah...

    - Juggernaut + Warden / Vindicator + Justice set gives disgusting defense. It's why you see people doing oodles of dps tanking Grav like a Champ with an offense passive. All of those + % offense from gear things that were kinda lame before are nice with a Justice set + Wardicator.

    - Sentinel Mastery + Thunderclap. You can aggro the entire room in the PoHo trainer on the highest settings and not die. Run from mob to mob, thunderclap them and keep using it when they all dogpile you while attacking normally with an aoe. It might take a few practice runs to get used to weaving the stun into your attacks.

Sentinel Mastery is also good for bosses, especially if there isn't a healer. For Grav, you should easily be able to keep yourself healed just by punching things and not needing to block much of anything. You probably won't need BCR with Sentinel Mastery.

    - Invisible Weapons + Annihilate. I believe the animation makes it look like a heavy back-handed hit. Plus knocks for Enrage and bonus damage to Knock resisted targets.

    - At the start of a fight is when you have no Defiance stacks, so simply popping Unbreakable right at the start might help with the survival aspect. After that, it should be a matter of hopping from mob to mob to keep the stacks going.

Invulnerability plus Defensive Combo (with surge of strength, if you want it faster) will usually be better defense than defiance, though it doesn't have the energy benefits (on the plus side, you won't lose stacks if you lose aggro). In terms of the start of the fight (which is also when F&I like to pop off a rimefire burst), I usually use masterful dodge right there.

    THIS

This setup also has the huge advantage that it heals your whole team, as long as they stick close and keep attacking.

This trick also works with the vile cyclone/iron cyclone advantage point to knock targets toward you then hit them with Thunder Clap. I a Lunge > cyclone > thunder clap rotation they always get dunked on. It's amazing.
