If I was making a might tank, (which I am) would any of these be worth ranking to three?

Aggressor,
Enrage, (Also which is more useful, IDF or this?)
Bionic Shielding
AoPM

On my current build I am planning on ranking these all to three when I get the 40 respec

AoPM is definitely worth ranking to 3. Enrage doesn't need rank, and neither does Aggressor, unless you have extra points, then I guess you could rank Aggressor. Bionic shielding to me is worth the ranks, the more healing, the better. Now IDF is only better for defensive builds that want to ignore the low damage that mobs deal, but Enrages do give energy when you gain stacks. So, the question is whether you'd rather have protection from low damage attacks or more energy from attacking.

I'd take Enrage over IDF in most cases for Might, but ranking them is a different story. W/ IDF you typically do want to it rank up, but you'd normally pass on R2-3 on Enrage (unless ur using Giant Growth for RP/theme reasons, perhaps). Endorphin Rush on Enrage isn't a large heal, but it can be nice for a bit extra background healing when knocking stuff around- getting that adv is a bit more up to you.

I'd agree that Aggressor could be ranked, but it'd be at a lower priority for me. AoPM and BSheild I'd normally rank up (if taken).

Well this IS a tank, not really a damage type, so the more defense the more 'tankier' he is. Plus, I've used IDF in the passed and it's far more useful than Enrage.. imho, I'd definitely like to ignore the pesty mobs. Because,

I'm trying to imagine this build just standing his ground, ignoring all damage, so if he has to hit them for energy, with no defense to back it up, that's not as easy as getting energy FROM being hit, while also reducing it from a good, flat amount of damage. Does Enrage make the tank more squishy or is it just me?

I also traded Aggressor for Bountiful Chi Resurgence, since as I type this out I realize "He is not a damage type."

    On a scale of 1 - 10, 1 being "I promise, I can't die but I can't kill at all," 5 being "I can kill, but I can also be defeated," 10 being "I can murder everything, but I'm a glass cannon," I'm looking for a 1.

My final, and hardest decision is choosing between rank 3 AoPM or rank 1 Defiance. My PvP side leans more to AoPM.

Tanking requires holding aggro. Holding aggro requires damage. In general, the only build I'd consider using IDF on is a healer.

True, and as I watch PvP Enraged just breaks through that IDF.

So now I am choosing Enraged, but to replace AoPM with Defiance unranked.

Enrage with Endorphin Rush isn't a bad heal at all with a lot of CON plus if you use Ascension it buffs the heal too. Also makes Unleashed Rage a very useful AoE that boosts your DPS vs. single targets too.

Aggressor rank 3 is nice not only for the STR/CON buffs but extends it to 18 seconds. And helpful in quickly getting 8 stacks so you can get a max dmg UR.

I'm in the same camp as Monsterdaddy; there are few cases where I would not rank Aggressor. It synergizes so well on multiple levels with a STR/CON/Enrage/Wardicator build, both offensively and defensively.

    To toss in my thoughts:

I dislike healing, I always feel like I'm too slow to react when people get hit. I'd rather bubble a strong tank, take the pressure off his survival, so he can hold aggro.

But I find an even better approach for all content below rampages (and this even works okay in most rampages) is the 'buffbot' toon.

Stack AoRP, IDF, Sentinel Aura, Sentinel Mastery, a melee stun, and a rain.

This combo is simple and fun to play, makes you feel like you're active and in the fight, and literally sets the game on 'easy' mode as you give everybody on your team the equivalent of Invulnerability and Regeneration on top of whatever defenses they already have.

    It's a blast. :)
