We've received feedback from a number of players that the Vehicle Mods hourly event drops too many unneeded vehicle mods, to the point that it actually discourages players from playing because they feel spammed by them. We've decided to disable the event for now, though it will still appear in the in-game calendar until we can make a more permanent change.

Oh wow.. what a good change. The mods that drop are of such low quality.. they really aren't worth the trouble. And if you have a vehicle it doesn't take long to equip it.
While you're looking --- can you take a peek at the mods that drop in the Burst alert? It's too heavily weighted for vehicle mods and not other mods that we actually use.
Nice! I approve. Vehicle mods are just absurd - there's what, 14 or so different types of them, only about four or five of which are worth using? Reducing the degree to which we get spammed by vehicle mods is a good thing.
Choose your enemies carefully, because they will define you / Make them interesting, because in some ways they will mind you
They're not there in the beginning, but when your story ends / Gonna last with you longer than your friends
Nooooooooooooooo!!
Where else i can get the Rank 1 Vehicle Mods now??
I've got like five or six thousand of them you can have.

Sky Command, where the vehicle mod 5-pack (reward for killing the mega-D) is 5 rank 1 mods? And yes, it's utterly stupid there too, though you get a healthy chunk of resources for taking out the mega-D so it's not a complete waste.
Err yeh, probalby once piece of content to be toned down / eliminated.
You could upping the drop quility and lowering the rate? Or just "mod hour" where the mobs/crafting nodes drop extra mods (of quality they currently drop)
In my guild, it has often been referred to as "Role-play hour"
Sometimes, much less charitably as "Log-out hour". Sometimes they don't make it back.
I admit I've even logged in, seen V mod hour had begun, and then logged right back out again, so, good change, even if it's only temporary until a better version of it can be revisited.
As much as I don't care about vehicles (something about their "special" movement mechanics makes them unusable in combat with my setup), I disapprove of this continuing pattern of removing things instead of fixing them.

Imho there isn't too much to fix in 'mod hours'. It spams rank 1 mods, but you can quite easily get r3 or r4 mods from regular loot tables, so it's all kinds of redundant.
Probably shouldn't be implemented at all, to begin with.
For me it was like "Stop Farming Vibora Or Anything Else Hour".

98% of the time I would agree completely with you but, for reasons which have already been pointed out, this is what I would gladly consider as part of the other 2%. At this stage I would not care if this was replaced by "Just go play regular CO Hour." This isn't less is more. This is NOTHING is more.
Now if you want to get my attention on a new hour...how about "Costume Unlock Odds Increase Hour"? I could see the flocks in lairs, alerts, and places like Vibora Bay now.

Oh, thank God. No more random r1 vehicle mods during farming.

THANK YOU!
It was the WORST and most Obnoxious Bonus Hour
Nothing more frustating that getting Spammed with a tons of useless RANK 1 vehicles mods while leveling a character by doing missions
and Pointless since you can get rank 3-4 Mods from BURSTS and rank 5 from Lemuria/Monster Island/Vibora Bay

They will do something to replace it with something better but for the time being, just let it Die

I'd say replace it with a more frequent Destrum Bearing drop.

Woohoo! Now I don't have to spend my playtime selling that junk! MORE HEROICS FOR EVERYONE! Here's to hoping that event will get adjusted to drop higher quality mods and at a much MUCH lower rate than what's currently on the table.
The only thing of value to come out of the vehicle mods hour was the science, arms, and mysticism mods to boost your crafting skills, and seeing as we don't really use those skills for much these days, even that was a waste. Besides, once you hit 100 in a particular skill the items became useless again, and no one is going to ever collect 3125 level 1 mods needed to make a level 6 mod (never mind the pointless time crafting takes).
Skills can go to 400... buy a skill cap increase from a trainer.
I know, I've actually managed to get a toon to 400 with the new crafting system. What I'm saying is that refining rank 1 mods do not increase your skill past 100 you need rank 2 or 3 or higher to increase past 100.
Words cannot express how happy I am to see this happen! Can we have it back with it least dropping Rank III or IVs that AREN'T Vehicle mods? Or replace it completely with Nemesis hour or costume drop hour. I'm voting for those to happen!
When y'all fix the mod hour problem, think you might be able to somehow either fix or flat out remove the broken mods? While I know I can make a killing selling high level ones on AH, the altruist in me refuses to scam people like that.
In game I'm @eviltaco, aka chalupaoffury. Cryptic apparently loves making me change my name every 2 years or so.

May i suggest a change to Vehicle mod hour ?
Change it to Mod hour so all mods when fusing have a significantly higher success chance during the hour.
It would be more beneficial.

As for the Mod pack for defeating Mega D, make it drop 1 random R6 character mod and that would be incentive to play it more.
Its the simple changes in loot tables that can make a big difference in repeat game play.
I disagree because the loot notifications would still be pretty annoying.
Definitely support costume hour and increased nemesis spawns.
Keys are important for revenue and they should not flood the market with a mod event.
