After being tempted to create my own Thread to showcase my own Characters in-game, I have finally decided to do so. Here you will see a good number of them, including some backstory to them and the thought process behind the design, but feel free to comment them.

To start up, I will begin with the most obvious choice.

Fantomask

First designed as an idea I had back then, of a character that mixed both Martial Arts and Magic. The idea came after I had watched the Doctor Strange animated movie and I wanted to create something similar, of a man seeking renewal and redemption. But after too many trial and errors, I just couldn't settle on a simple design so I rewrote the story completely (or "making a new 52" as I usually term it) and decided to give it a fresh new take.

The new story is deeply inspired by the Batgirl, Cassandra Cain - Or the Black Bat as she is more commonly known as and now, thanks to Zen, Mulan Kato, the female Kato from Kevin Smith's Green Hornet sequel comic. And like Cassandra, Xiang Xao was born and rised by the Red Way Triad of Hong Kong.

For years the Red Way Triad had trying to take control over Hong Kong by both to successful (and unsuccessful) attempts to train children in martial arts. In a curious attempt to create one child to lead them, Shang Quan decided that the genes of his two deadliest bodyguards would make the deadliest human weapon in the world. In her earliest years, Xao was made mute on purpose by neutralizing her speech patterns and spent her time training to read other people's movement and body language to predict their next move and became a neutral prodigy in many ways.

But it wasn't until she killed a small family of farmers that she realized that murder was wrong, that the way she saw the lives in their eyes were completely snuffed out by her hands and when it had scarred her emotionally, she ran away from the Triad. The Traid found her as she had wandered aimlessly in the snowy peaks of Tibet and left her to die. To her luck she was found by a small group of Shaolin apprentices and took her to the temple. There Xao was treated back to health, and under her new master she was taught new ways of fighting and to this day, Xao swore to herself she would never kill again and to stop Shang Quan and his Triad from taking Hong Kong.

    Nice one, Skkar!

BTW, if you type /renderscale 2 in the chatbox before taking a screenie you will get a much better image. It'll probably slow the game down for you, but just type /renderscale 1 after taking the screenshot to go back to normal.

That way we can see her in all her glory.

I sadly didn't have much luck with the /renderscale unfortunately. It somehow became too taxing for my PC as it nearly crashed. :frown: But oh well, I will get around it hopefully.

    Anyways!

    The Wraithslayer

    4ggilx.jpg

    jfvuax.jpg

Born from Irish immigrants, the Hyde's settled in Eisenhower Bay in hopes for a new start in life. But despite the promises that were made, the Hyde's moved in the Southern Slums along with the rest of the immigrants were supposed to live and it didn't take long until people under the same nationalities began to be round-up by groups of labour under the Mega-Corporations that had a print or hand under every politician and law enforcement.

The years passed and it became each harder to just to breathe, so under a massive protest to promote unions, the Hyde's became a name to be remembered. Believing to have made progress, the Hyde's decided to celebrate and after a night of partying, the Hyde couple took decided to take the walk home instead along with their son, Jack. But when they decided to make a short cut through a small alleyway, they were ambushed and were beaten to death by masked men. Jack was horrified by the sheer brutality and when the ambushers ran off, he cried out in vein. The police never came and their deaths were reported 3 days later as a causality of "gang related violence."

Even if Jack was only 12 at the time, he knew that this was never anything about gangs but as a disguised front made by the corporations and on the eve of his parents wedding anniversary, he swore vengeance upon their graves and studied law. Jack was graduated with the highest honours Eisenhower Bay University had seen in years and became a defence attorney. The years passed and Jack Hyde became a front figure for those who couldn't protect themselves, namely the poor and the immigrants in which the corporations would continue to exploit.

Believing to fight fire with a firestorm, Jack became the very brutality he had witnessed and donned the mask of The Wraithslayer, and he will never rest until the Corporations CEOs are either dead or in prison.

    Panthera

    qyv8lu.jpg

    21lq1ef.jpg

Previously one of Eisenhower Bay's most famed cat burglars, many doesn't know of the secret double life of Rafaela Juno, one of the most wealthiest families of the very city. Back when she were a thief, she was always the one that teased The Wraithslayer but was under the guise of Black Jynx, a suitable name for a family to be drawn by granting misfortune to others or closest to.

Thinking it was just a simple superstitious myth, Rafaela witnessed the fatal shooting of Jack Hyde, a crush she held deeply over. Believing to be someone else than the ruthless Corporations involved, Rafaela vowed to change her thieving ways so she became known as Panthera and began to use her skills as a detective instead.

Here's a revamp of an old level 40 I had and since I have no real use of him, I decided to give him an extreme make-over - both on looks and background.

    2nsz2mw.png

It's no real secret that I regard Superman as my favorite superhero of all time, and I'm still patiently wait for a movie that actually do him justice and properly. The color scheme, though I'm still struggling with it a bit, is currently based of the fan creation / idea of a Blue Lantern Superman.

Any thoughts, comments or ideas are more than welcome!

At what point did he get swept into the Champions universe? The background sounds like something out of the possible future of the Sprawl Trilogy, or possibly a variant on Marvel's 2099 universe or the Shadowrun world, but not the history of the Champs universe as established.

Mind you, it's an interesting history, one that holds together well on its own terms - a sort of alt-Batman fighting the evil megacorps - it just doesn't fit in with the universe we're playing in.

You know, I have yet to fill that out whenever I decide to make a full profile over at the Database. But the idea envolves portals and/or alternative versions

    Diabolick

Ask what he is and Diabolick will present himself as Lupin, a man from Oradour-sur-Glane in France. As a young boy he witnessed the horrors of the first world war and when he became old enough, he and his two brothers joined France in the second war. Eventually, Lupin joined the Brittish in their North African Campaign and it was there he first made contact with The Host. The Host is, in retrospect, an intelligence that chose men and women to become guardians to protect the Known Magicks of the world, and Lupin just happened to be chosen by them.

Currently Lupin is investigating DEMON under the orders of Interpol, and to safeguard the world from their evil influences.
