Maintenance 5/1 @ 7am PDT

Maintenance is currently planned for tomorrow morning, normal time. There's a new patch to implement the May subscriber reward -- no other changes planned.

Start time: 7am PDT
Estimated duration: 1.5 - 2.5 hours

    We may be pushing back maintenance by a day for a bug fix on the Aztec Headdress piece. If so, we'll let you know as soon as we're able.

    Edit: Barring sudden changes in plan, maintenance will be Friday morning.

    any luck with the lag and login problems, or can you provide the contact details for whichever senator we write to about the Net Neutrality law.

    wonder what they'd think of complaints form people in other countries?

    Launcher will look broken for about an hour. Should still be able to log on, it's part of fixing the Firefox issues with the Subscription and Gateway sites.

    Was logged in earlier today, but since the maintenance countdown has ended, no luck. Put in name/password, hit log in... and nothing. The password box goes blank or it just sits there, attempting to connect.

    It's far from 'looking broken'. It actually IS broken. After typing in user name and password the window is stuck on 'Connecting to Account Server'.

    Cant log in using launcher either (using both stand along and thru arc). Just saying.

    Heh, and here I thought it was me ... I just switched accounts when I was unable to log in, so I tried to attempt and log out properly on the free account and no go ...

    So now I know I can stop trying, and keep an eye on the forums when it works again.

    It's nice to not have the maintenance, but it would've been nicer if we could actually log into the game as well.

    From follow-up emails, it sounds like initially we updated some parts of the launcher infrastructure stuff, but not all.

    We're now scheduled for 5/1 @ 7am PDT. Note that the Aztec Headdress gold piece won't go live until after maintenance, instead of at midnight.

    I think this is actually the first costume piece released...well ever as near as I can tell, not to have alternate materials.

    Combine that with these issues, and it raises some interesting questions about the quality of products we should be expecting under the new management.

    Good thing they jacked up the price of costumes before the move, so they can spend less time on development :/

    It's a pretty sad state of affairs with this new gold member reward. It could have been a really nice addition, but unless the problems with it are fixed and the suggestions made by testers on the PTS boards are implemented (and it seems they won't be) then, for me, it will just remain as one of those pieces that are never used.

    It's not much of a reward for being a subscriber.

    Most of the things being discussed are out of scope, unfortunately -- it's not too hard to incorporate additional materials in from the beginning, or make a two-piece set, but once the model has been made it's much harder to make those changes.

    That said, categories aren't too hard. We're going to do a PTS push sometime tomorrow to add the three missing female categories to the headdress.

    If categories aren't hard...why not just put the headdress into monster/animal heads as well, if not just...all headwear categories? Seriously missing out on lots of options with these weird decisions for this one.
