Millennia Phoenix: Energy-based power armor tank.

The general concept here is meant to still stick with the idea of force; telekinetic assault is still, well, kinetic. Plasma Beam is a pretty standard energy beam. So far I've tanked a few rampages with this (Grav and LI) although they got a bit hairy at points. AoE tanking is harder than tanking a single big monster - not for threat, but for incoming damage, but Rebirth lets you shrug that off and get back into the fight pretty quick.

Force Cascade is a lot of fun as a tap and as a charge and I use it for both purposes. Tap FC, Telekinetic Assault and Plasma Beam all let you move while acting, and taking advantage of mobility is supreme; it lets me keep up damage at pretty much all times.

I can't say I recommend this build at low levels, but I haven't actually tried this specific build at low levels either, though I think by 20 it might be playable.

Seems more like a tanky dps than a formal tank, w/ the lack of a defensive passive and CripC/CS. AoPM + MD + Unbreakable does make it quite survivable, though.

Its a pretty good theme-based build. I prob would just get R3 on Plasma Beam, since Melta has a low proc rate (even w/ the high tick frequency).

At lower levels you'll want more Rec stated for OD and TKA use. Can always get an AoE earlier in the build and retrain out of it once ya unlock Plasma Beam.

Could also replace Protector spec w/ Vindicator for more dps and Defense, though at the cost of Bulwark and Defensive Expertise.

Thanks for the input, Flow. I was considering switching to R3 after playing with it a bit. I guess Melta Cannon is for hybrid Plasma/Laser Sword builds?

Yeah, Melta could be better for the odd LS build also using Plasma Beam- but just to get a leg up on burn stacks after cleaning up easier mobs w/ the AoE. Lightwave Slash puts up initial burn stacks faster, but I dun like the small cone-based reach of the power.
