My very first Comic Series :>

I recently met a guy in-game who makes comic series and he inspired me to make mine too so I gave it a shot with my friend and the result,although it might not be professional as it is still my first,make me pretty happy. It is not finished yet but I wanted to ask people for honest opinions about it.
It has 18 pages and I don't know where else to really post it so people can easily see it so I'll just roll them all here -.-

    Indeed I did my friend. It made me laugh too, keep it up and it could surely tie in to the calamity story going on. It starts in killer spider issue 31 though. Well the prelude

    Blambot also has a bunch of free fonts you can use, you should check them out. (Also check out more of their articles, very useful info on lettering).

    I liked the joke at the end, but Defender gave them wrong directions. Witchcraft is to the east of Renaissance Center. :biggrin:


    As far as feedback, while your panels are mostly properly placed, the word balloons often aren't, and it leads to confusing dialogue. A conversation can't start on the right side of the page and go left. Keep in mind that people tend to read the balloons like they read text; left to right, top to bottom.

    In the scene with the bartender where it completely flips, it got confusing, especially since those panels were all pretty dark and hard to make out.

    Also I felt some narration boxes could have helped the story along, especially since there's not much of a setup.

    If you don't mind spending a little cash, you should check out DC Comics Guide to Writing Comics. It's an amazing wealth of information that'll help you put a story together cohesively.

    Much appreciated ^^ I know the bartender scene is kind of confusing. I took very few captions there and tried to fit more bubbles in very little space and the angle only allowed me to do it like that. And yes,I thought about narration bubbles but I did not intend to make this one very professional,it's more like an attempt to see what comes out :P

    Ok so I finished it! I used some fonts I downloaded from Blambot and I tried taking your advice guys although some bubbles I still could not arrange properly due to lack of space and bad angles.
    But I am happy with the result :>
    If you want to check them out guys I uploaded them to File Dropper.I split them in two parts and made them into a roll using Photoscape. You will have to enlarge the photo to read them.
