So the fastest human foot-speed on record is 44.7 km/h (12.4m/s, 27.78 mph), seen during a 100 meters sprint (average speed between the 60th and the 80th meter) by Usain Bolt. Maximum human sprint speed is strikingly slower than that of many animals.
So my qeastion is how fast excaly is Athletics? (In-Game) on high rank 3?, cuz it looks ridiculous at rank 3, and I'm think that's way to fast to be in human nature, unless your an different species or so
I'm just wondering this, due to my recent toon who has just finished now (thank GOD) and I'm trying to place how fast rank 3 is, as shes an lycan Im going to assume its safe to say she can run 50 60 km/h (Running), 8 9 km/h (Loping pace) (Normal Wolf)
Take a Detroit map, place it over Millennium City one.
Measure distance in both.
Run it. ....ingame...
Time it.
To be sure.
Humm ok, well I did some Parkor in the city, leaping from building and such, so yeah guess its like 60, I just wish there was Parkor, like cimbing buildings or doing rolls when you hit the ground.

Yeah, it be great to have travel powers that can climb walls or wall-run across them or bounce of them to get to an higher place or beening able to hide in small places, wiping aggro

Well, CO is comic book based... so, you should disregard real world physics right off the bat...

Athletics/Acrobatics in this game is meant to mimic the travel style of Spiderman and Daredevil. Originally this game was planned to be a kind of Marvel Online of some sort. So take the average traveling speed of those heroes, Spiderman being able to run at around 60 mph, and you have your answer.

I'm sure we can be a bit more scientific than that. We have plenty of in-game objects that would have the same measurements as real life objects. All someone has to do is take one, use it's measurements to accurately calculate the distance of a given stretch of real estate in a level, time how fast it takes the player to cross it, do some math, and boom, there you have your actual answer.
the biggest drawback of Acrobatics/Athletics is height, there's a few places that are to high to reach if you don't use something like a flight power... so it would be awesome to get something like a wall crawling, or parkour, hell even some martial arts films and such shows incredible climbing feats
true, I've been known to take jet pack w/o a jetpack as an anti-gravity device, but this wasn't for me... I was just putting my 2 cents in... because it seems a lot of time community wants to disregard an OPs theme.
happens to me a lot, not as bad as back when I first started playing, but still...

Beast can sprint in all fours 40 mph.
Then theres the fact that you can't get tired in CO.
We can run 60 mph for ever.
How high we can jump with Athletics?
Someone should calculate Vehicle speeds....

But probably not.
Take the stairs.
Purchace a Vehicle.
And we do have 2 slots for TPs.

You could take swinging in the second slot, which, with effort, will let you get to any place, no matter how high.
Whoever you are, be that person one hundred percent. Don't compromise on your identity.
Then you don't really need to worry, because if a location can't be reached without flight then there's nothing to do there anyway.
You can always buy a hoverbike.

of course, that's how I view the powers.
