Martial Artist Healer - Sensei Mia

edited March 2015 in Builds and Roles
Been gone a long time, but I'm back at it! I lost all my builds on an old computer and haven't been able to play for almost a year now. So, this build is going to be all over the place due to my decreased lack of experience and understanding.

That being said, I wanted to created Sensei Mia, the inventor of Ganjutsu, a martial arts style at least four hundred and twenty years old that utilizes a state of higher being to attack foes and heal allies. I suppose that equates to a mainly DPS role with an option to heal.

I picked Seraphim because I really like the solo-ability to provides me in PVE, I like Regen for the same reason. The Void Shift + Spirit Reverb might be a wasted EU effort, but I'm not sure where else to go. I'm hoping the advantages on Hundred Hands and Dragon Uppercut work with Seraphim. I then picked the Ego moves for a bit of range and because a quick google search.

So, with the undoubtedly broken build I present, I'd appreciate any help and advice.

It'll work. Seraphim won't be boosting most of ur dmg, since that's still largely Physical, but the heal boosts, heal aura, and potential to proc Honor in Arbiter_Overseer passively can outweigh that. Otherwise I'd just consider using AoPM (or AoRP).

Spirit Reverb does work well w/ Void Shift's adv and 100Hands and/or DU w/ adv- I'd keep that aspect of the build intact regardless. Vala's Light and Conviction w/ Reverence become a bit better as ally heals when ur melee and clumped up w/ other melee_tanks. Conduit can also be good for its chaining ability, but you'll want to pair it w/ Illumination w/ adv then- else ya may want to consider using a diff main heal that's not as energy-heavy.

Ya could use Compassion as the toggle if ur keeping Serpahim (and/or use Sentinel Aura) w/ a Pres focus if ya want to stress the healing portion over the dmg portion, but that's ultimately up to you. One benefit of the Focus toggle is that ya get Rush when using DU, which is nice for energy (though energy is less of a concern if ur playing in the Support role).

I'd get rid of Mind Break, since its not adding much to the build and can expire other payer's TP dots (which they prob won't like), and drop Elusive Monk on Parry (Parry is a fine block, but EM adds a dmg penalty that I wouldn't take on a non-tanking build). Ya do have a 2nd passive at R1 (LR) in there, and I dunno why- perhaps ya meant to put R1 Masterful Dodge in there instead?

An ally res and/or self res would be a good idea if ur playing more of a support role.

Lastly- what are Ego Sprites going to be used for? Its a fine AoE DoT on its own, but if ya plan on using them regularly then you'll want to rank them up. Alternatively, ya could consider replacing the power w/ Mental Storm's dps boost, Mental Leech's self-healing, or Shadow of Doubt's -dmg debuff.

    JwLmWoa.png
Perseus, Captain Arcane, Tectonic Knight, Pankration, Siberiad, Sekhmet, Black Seraph, Clockwork
Project Attalus: Saving the world so you don't have to!

Awesome! Thanks for the quick replies! I took what flowcyto told me and what jaazaniah1 showed me and tweaked the build like this:

    PowerHouse (Link to this build)

    Name: Sensei Mia

    Archetype: Freeform

    Super Stats:
    Level 6: Presence (Primary)
    Level 10: Constitution (Secondary)
    Level 15: Dexterity (Secondary)

    Talents:
    Level 1: The Hero
    Level 6: Acrobat
    Level 9: Finesse
    Level 12: Shrug It Off
    Level 15: Survival Training
    Level 18: Covert Ops Training
    Level 21: Sniper Training

    Powers:
    Level 1: Radiance
    Level 1: Seraphim (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 6: Compassion
Level 8: One Hundred Hands (Rank 2, Rank 3, Ghostly Strikes)
Level 11: Void Shift (Emerging Nightmares)
    Level 14: Spirit Reverberation
Level 17: Vengeance (Rank 2, Redemption Denied)
Level 20: Dragon Uppercut (Rank 2, Chi Flame)
Level 23: Conviction (Rank 2, Reverence)
Level 26: Ego Sprites (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 29: Ego Surge (Nimble Mind)
    Level 32: Masterful Dodge
Level 35: Redemption (Rank 2, Salvation)
    Level 38: Rebirth

    Travel Powers:
Level 6: Ninja Leaves (Rank 2)
    Level 35: Acrobatics (Rank 2, Rank 3)

    Specializations:
    Presence: Selfless Ally (2/2)
    Presence: Grandeur (3/3)
    Presence: Moment of Glory (3/3)
    Presence: Force of Will (2/2)
    Arbiter: Arbiter Aura (3/3)
    Arbiter: Rend (2/2)
    Arbiter: Honor (2/2)
    Arbiter: Enhanced Gear (3/3)
    Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
    Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
Vindicator: The Rush of Battle (3/3)
    Vindicator: Modified Gear (2/2)
    Mastery: Vindicator Mastery (1/1)

If I've broken anything or misunderstood what I've been told and could do better, please let me know. I took Ego Sprites as a ranged attack and sort of for theme.

Also, Sensei Mia is a play on sensimilla (seedless).

The newer build looks pretty good, but its lacking in a regular heal (Conviction w/ Rev is nice, but its more of a self-heal for ur own survival that also has a minor splash component). Its up to you if ya want to have more healing capabilities or not, since that's more based off the intent or playstyle of the character, but I'd prob first drop Vengeance or Sprites if ya wanted to include a normal ally heal (aoe attacks are good, but ya do already have 100Hands).
