The Nexus Force is a team/agency of superheroes stationed in Millennium City. This team is for heroes from all walks of life who will stand together to protect the world and beyond. We are an RP SG with many dedicated players and characters behind it!
The Nexus Force was founded after it's predecessor, The Nexus Academy was shut down. Since it's opening, The Academy was slammed left and right by world level threats on all sides. For the safety of the students Nexus Academy was closed down. However, two of the Academy's most experienced heroes, Night Spider and Network, re-organized the former academy into a super hero agency who would be better trained to deal with a broad array of threats, ranging from the streets of Millennium City to supernatural forces and interdimensional invaders.
After some trying times the Force has opened it's doors to the hero community as a whole.
{{Nexus Force Rules and Policies}}
- Members must be registered with DOSPA to avoid legal complications.
- We do not accept members with federal crimes or that are wanted by UNTIL, PRIMUS, UNTIY, INTERPOL and the like.
- Members sign a behavioral contract upon recruitment. Three strikes against a member and they are removed from the team (This applies especially to heroes with "loose cannon tendencies" or a habit for causing trouble).
- Open Door Policy: We offer temporary membership to freelancing heroes (said heroes would not be required to register). However the freelancer in question would have little access to the interior workings of the team. (NOTE: Freelancers can eventually join the Force completely if they wish)
- No Drugs: We want our team members to operate as efficiently as possible. Those with mental issues or health problems who require drugs are exempt from this policy.
- Redemption Policy: Heroes who have been arrested for non-federal crimes can sign onto the team to serve the rest of their sentence.
(more Rules and Programs may be added at a later date)
{{OOC Rules}}
* We respect each other's views on RP arcs, lores and background of character. We encourage helping each other to find a good balance in character development, role-playing abilities and supporting when new members try and get settled in.
* God mode/meta gaming/arch hijackers are not what we seek in our SG. We strive to let our creativity flow, but not to let it be the reason for a full out war between members, thanks to the recently stated reasons. We who moderate and oversee the actions of the Force will take actions against anyone that breaches this rule. An IC termination of the character's position is a strong possibility if repeated.
* The use of the OOC-Channel is for conversations/exchange of ideas for Characters and so on. But NOT for spamming, flamming, tantrums, griefing and so on. The channel is to be as clean as possible from contents that is considered offensive to race/sex/religion. This is to ensure that ALL members regardless of race, sex and religion can take part in the conversation without feeling left out or insulted in any way. A breach here will result in an timeout (kick function) and if repeated multiple times, an conversation between the moderators will take place to take into consideration if a termination is valid.
For a better in-depth RP experience we have concluded that one main Character and two alts is sufficient for each member. The only time it is valid is when an arc needs a specific Character and those are usually made by moderator or game master.

Being a Modern Age SG, we take a very wide variety of heroes into Nexus Force. While we do like some flexibility it is nice to at least have a feasible concept.
Supernatural: Beings such as Werewolves and Vampires are closely watched unless it is known that they can control the monster within. The same can be applied to Demons, Nexus Force has two Demon Members thus far giving them a less biased view on Demonic Morality. However Demons with a more aggressive streak fall under the same rules as other supernatural monsters. At our core we are a respectable hero team that saves lives, and we can't take members who would freely go around killing criminals and innocents for their souls (Should one require souls to live, we have mystical members on hand to provide a substitute). Also to avoid public outcry, All Demons that do get onto the team are required to hide their true nature from the public and law enforcement for their own safety (As Demons are still hunted down and killed by others).
Vigilantes: The Vigilante is a sensitive subject in the hero community today. The commanding officer of Nexus Force "Night Spider" spent most of his career as an unlicensed vigilante. However due to pressure from UNTIL and DOSPA, Nexus is required to register the identities of any heroes that get onto the team. We do however have a policy regarding Vigilantes, they can either retain their secret identity by entering our "Freelancer" program OR register their identities in our database with the promise that the information will only be on a "need to know basis" within the U.S government. The Force does have it's limits as to what type of vigilantes to accept, we don't take in those who would kill freely.
Aliens: Aliens and extraterrestrials are also accepted into our team. As long as they can obey Earth Laws and be respectable to humans and meta humans alike. Just as with the above concepts we do not take in Aliens who kill freely. This category also applies to interdimensional visitors and humans from alternate earths.
Synthetic Beings/Robots: Robots and synthetics follow the same guidelines as Aliens do. They are welcomed with open arms as long as they can respect us "Meat Bags" and our customs. Synthetic beings can be outfitted with non lethal weaponry to better fit our "No Killing" guidelines.
Metas And Mutants: Metas, or better known as superhumans and mutants are the most common types of heroes that walk through our doors. Mutants are required to at least respect other heroes and non-mutants. As such they and other supers are subject to all of our rules and protocols.

Minor: This spot is reserved for heroes who are fresh out of their origins (typically teenagers or young adults). About two years or less in experience. The minor rank is also subject to our future Mentor Program in which minors can receive training and advice from middle and majors.
Middle: These are heroes who have gotten past their learning curve and are fully capable of standing on their own. Between three and four years of experience and training. Middles are in direct contact with Majors and can become apprenticed to a Major or even apprentice a Minor themselves.
Majors: This spot is for heroes who know what they are doing. Well versed and well trained. Above four years of experience. In rare cases this can also include heroes who have grown in short periods of time, and their feats are equal to already veteran heroes. Majors can apprentice Middles. immortal heroes who have been around for over a century immediately get placed in a Major Rank.
Danger Level Differences: Minors are usually kept on street level crime and low level threats. However it is not uncommon for them to get in over their heads. Middles are flexible in terms of their missions and can either be sent on low or high level missions. Majors on the other hand are constantly dealing with Global or National threats (The likes of VIPER or even the Force's most recurring foe, "The Arachni"). As such Majors have the most responsibility within the team.
OOC Note: Middles and Minors can also get into world threat situations, however only if a Major allows it.
Now for a quick note on morality.
To be clear on the subject, The Nexus Force IS a hero team. But with everything they have faced in the past, these are heroes who are unafraid to step into moral grey areas should a situation call for it. The world isn't all black and white, and with foes who can sidestep and manipulate the law, sometimes saving the world from a crisis is worth bending a few rules. This is however done sparingly to keep on the side of groups such as UNTIL.
