Build advice for a Ranged DPS/Tank/Support needed

I have been toying with a build that I wanted to do for a bit but never got any good advice on. Seems like a time to ask again. Get some fresh ideas hopefully.

What I am aiming for is a toon that does ranged damage well, is survivable so he does not face-plant in Alerts all the time and does support on the side in the form of heals. I would like to keep within the Radiant framework but can go into other fields if necessary. Will probably run in support mode for the energy management but if the DPS hit is a factor then Hybrid mode will suffice. I would like to run the Seraphim passive.

So I need advice on the PSS and SSS as well as what to take for powers, advantages and specializations please!

Radiant as in the AT? (ie mostly Celestial) or Radiant Sorcery? or.. both?

    I'll use both, I guess.

It will be really hard to hold threat as Support (will also lower ur dps and the self-effect of any Passive auras), so if ya wanted to tank a bit I'd recommend Hybrid role.

Seems like I'm making another AoRP tank build tonight :x Alrighty:

    PowerHouse (Link to this build)

    Super Stats:
    Level 6: Constitution (Primary)
    Level 10: Presence (Secondary)
    Level 15: Intelligence (Secondary)

    Talents:
    Level 1: The Radiant
    Level 6: Shrug It Off
    Level 9: Healthy Mind
    Level 12: Diplomatic
    Level 15: Quick Recovery
    Level 18: Negotiator
    Level 21: Lasting Impression

    Powers:
    Level 1: Eldritch Bolts
Level 1: Rebuke (Rank 2, Crippling Challenge)
Level 6: Aura of Radiant Protection (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 8: Compassion
Level 11: Conviction (Rank 2, Reverence)
Level 14: Expulse (Rank 2, Rank 3, Challenging Strikes)
    Level 17: Molecular Self-Assembly
Level 20: Skarn's Bane (Rank 2, Rank 3, Challenging Strikes)
Level 23: Hex of Suffering (Rank 2, Nailed to the Ground)
    Level 26: Ascension (Rank 2)
    Level 29: Masterful Dodge
Level 32: Ebon Void (Rank 2, Voracious Darkness)
Level 35: Sigils of Ebon Weakness (Rank 2)
    Level 38: Rebirth

    Travel Powers:
    Level 6:
    Level 35:

    Specializations:
    Constitution: Fuel My Fire (3/3)
    Constitution: Resilient (2/2)
    Constitution: Quick Healing (1/3)
    Constitution: Adrenaline Rush (2/2)
    Constitution: Armored (2/2)
    Guardian: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Guardian: Ruthless (2/2)
    Guardian: Find the Mark (2/3)
    Guardian: The Best Defense (3/3)
    Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
    Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
    Vindicator: Offensive Expertise (2/2)
    Vindicator: Mass Destruction (3/3)
    Mastery: Constitution Mastery (1/1)

Ofc, some other powers could be taken- this is just a sampling. Skarn's is primary for dps/threat. Rebuke for CripC debuff on enemies and also as a heal for you or allies. Stuck Hex in there for another MSA trigger, and Expulse for flashy AoE/CS spam that is easier to use than Skarn's. Gearing is mostly for Con and Pres for this build.

If ya do not want to be a bonafide tank in groups, then ya can drop some of the CS/CripC advs for normal ranks.

Sorry flow I should have been clearer. I do not need to tank but I would like survivability in case I pull threat from the tank.

I also ment the celestial powerset primarily. Other powers in other sets are fine but id like to keep it thematic as best I can, ie Fire would be fine but darkness or ebon sorcery would not.

I hope that clears it up a bit.

    sure thing

So ya want a Ranged dps/support hybrid w/ (mostly) Celestial? Well for that the best passive would be Seraphim, yea, but that doesn't help ur defenses much. Could always rely on (very strong) self-heals and ADs if ya grab aggro (or just get Palliate/Absolve, which is thematic anyways), as well as defense gained from specs. Plus, having Con SS for a large health pool (even more important when you have strong healing- to lessen over-heal).

Celestial's best ST dps spell is Conduit tapping, though that's tough to afford. Fire's best ST spell is Conflag w/ UA's debuff, though sticking to that route means ur more of a Fire user.

Could thread them together by using Flashfire and Pyre w/ Thermal Reverb for energy- rest of the stuff being Celestial. I'll avoid Spirit Reverb and Fear since that's in Darkness.

Rebuke's dmg version isn't properly flagged as a blast, unfortunately (tooltip is off), so ya can't take adv of Avenger's quirks for blasts.

Since Seraphim's Paranormal boost also effects Ego dmg, Mental Storm would be a strong dps cd, if ya can allow a Mentalist attack in there.

I'll build around Rebuke, but if ya want to use Conduit instead then I'd build around more energy reserves/return:

    PowerHouse (Link to this build)

    Super Stats:
    Level 6: Intelligence (Primary)
    Level 10: Endurance (Secondary)
    Level 15: Constitution (Secondary)

    Talents:
    Level 1: The Glacier
    Level 6: Healthy Mind
    Level 9: Boundless Reserves
    Level 12: Investigator
    Level 15: Acrobat
    Level 18: Coordinated
    Level 21: Accurate

    Powers:
    Level 1: Radiance
    Level 1: Rebuke (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 6: Seraphim (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 8: Concentration
    Level 11: Thermal Reverberation
Level 14: Pyre (Rank 2, Backdraft)
Level 17: Conviction (Rank 2, Reverence)
    Level 20: Flashfire (Sweltering Heat)
    Level 23: Expulse (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 26: Mental Storm (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 29: Ascension (Rank 2)
    Level 32: Masterful Dodge
Level 35: Palliate (Rank 2, Absolve)
Level 38: Fire Shield (Rank 2)

    Travel Powers:
    Level 6:
    Level 35:

    Specializations:
    Intelligence: Preparation (2/2)
    Intelligence: Enlightened (3/3)
    Intelligence: Detect Vulnerability (3/3)
    Intelligence: Expertise (2/2)
    Guardian: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Guardian: Ruthless (2/2)
    Guardian: Find the Mark (2/3)
    Guardian: The Best Defense (3/3)
    Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
    Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
    Vindicator: Focused Strikes (2/3)
    Vindicator: Offensive Expertise (2/2)
    Vindicator: Mass Destruction (1/3)
    Mastery: Intelligence Mastery (1/1)

Took Guardicator for stronger Defense and a good personal dps boost.

Pyre is there to proc TR in AoE, and also to build energy and Conc stacks out of combat. After using Pyre, ya can spam Expulse for the theme. Ya get built-in knocks while ya AoE. For ST dps you'll be using Flashfire for TR, MS on cd, and Rebuke in between.

Focusing on Pres and Compassion (instead of Concentration) w/ Pres PSS is an alternative setup if ya want a more Support-oriented route that gives ya much stronger heals.. though you'll loose a good bit of dps and cd reduction. Can also gear Pres 70 w/ the Int/Conc setup to soft-cap its bonus dmg.

Could also replace one of the latter powers w/ a ally res, if ya want to be a more complete Support.

This is my standard 500 dps sleepwalk any grab alert to victory build.

    PowerHouse (Link to this build)

    Name:

    Archetype: Freeform

    Super Stats:
    Level 6: Presence (Primary)
    Level 10: Constitution (Secondary)
    Level 15: Intelligence (Secondary)

    Talents:
    Level 1: The Radiant
    Level 6: Healthy Mind
    Level 9: Diplomatic
    Level 12: Showmanship
    Level 15: Lasting Impression
    Level 18: Finesse
    Level 21: Prodigy

    Powers:
    Level 1: Radiance
Level 1: Conviction (Rank 2, Reverence)
    Level 6: Iniquity (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 8: Aura of Radiant Protection (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 11: Ebon Void (Voracious Darkness)
Level 14: Support Drones (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 17: Ritual of Radiant Summoning (Unbound Ritual)
Level 20: Inertial Dampening Field (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 23: Sigils of the Primal Storm
Level 26: Summon Shadows (Rank 2, Devouring Darkness)
    Level 29: Pyromancer's Blades
    Level 32: Molecular Self-Assembly
    Level 35:
    Level 38:

    Travel Powers:
    Level 6: Flight (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 35: Teleportation

    Specializations:
    Presence: Selfless Ally (2/2)
    Presence: Grandeur (3/3)
    Sentinel: Caregiver (3/3)
    Sentinel: Sentinel Aura (3/3)
    Sentinel: Genesis (2/2)

I know you said no darkness, but ebon void and everything after 20 is entirely replaceable with whatever powers you want, just pick whatever's fun atm.
Very easy to maintain 500 alert dps with just the three temp pets, however(and while hiding the team behind AORP/IDF too).
Could go 6 piece armadillo with this if you want, won't make a bit of difference.
Teleport is just so you can stealth solo missions to the boss, instead of slogging through muck for an hour.

The key to this is that it flat out works outside Rampages, and it's a rock solid base to build anything supportish on.

[edit] Forgot to mention, you don't actually "heal" with this. You basically stand around(or target a melee and hit follow) and make everyone smart enough to stay near you invincible. If they run, let them die, they have to learn.
