Error 14: The Connection to the server was lost

I have to mash the Patch button over and over and over to get any data, everything is perfectly fine on my end
any ideas?

    any information would be nice here, i have 2 Different computers here very different hardware

    My computer has the problem mentioned above (Win 7 x64 NVIDIA GTS 260)

    The one sitting next to me ALL differnt hardware SAME OS (Win 7 x64 NVIDIA 8600 GT) will crash right at startup

    I found that the patcher would error out at the same spot every time. I even tried uninstalling and starting all over and that didn't work either. For me it errored out with 1770 mb left. It would download 16mb then error. So what I did was I hit cancel when it had transferred about 10 mb. I hit patch again and so far it seems to be working. Hope that helps!

    One would think that you're not having the same problem as the "Archived Post" had...
    Look at the year last post was made.

    5 years ago. 5 years.
    Things have changed in that 5 years.
    A lot.

    Arc. There was no such thing in any dev's mind back then.

    You should try to look some of the recent issues with the server connection issues.
    Since there are.
    And maybe try to mention what is actually happening and things you've tried.
