Well, it's that time of the evening when everybody and his dog is on the internet, straining my local ISP's servers...(and YES, there's a place where I can look it up and see a graph where they show you just how heavy it gets in the evenings.)
SO... since I can't even finish rescuing Mia Zin or whatever her name is without SNR'ing and coming back dead... might as well refine a build I've been thinking about. Got her to about 13 or 14 already and she is a blast so far.

My idea... sort of a Valkryie type of character who fights with a sword, and has some elemental type attacks (earth, some force and a little lightning). And I actually did not name her "Quake" by the way, so... you guys can have that one if you want it.

Started out as kind of a joke... just wanted a toon that could have Knock Back and/or AoE on just about everything. Mobs flying everywhere, and the utter chaos and destruction of those Earth based AoE's. Mwa haha!! AoE's and DoT's flying. And a big sword to finish them off.
Well, imagine my surprise when she turned out to be pretty darned fun to play? And the stupid screenies don't do her justice. I have the UNTIL emblem cape on her, and that Ironclad Sword (since it's not too huge like the other weapons.) and her top and bottoms (the blue parts) are actually like scaled armor, like Capt. America wears.
Weird mix I know... some ranged stuff and some melee stuff. Was thinking of trying to fit an Energy Unlock in there, but don't know if I'll really need one? I suppose Viscious Descent could go if I had to replace something. Guess I *could* replace Descent with MSA? Maybe? I'm still pretty new to this game, so please don't laugh too hard at my bumbling around lol.
Like I said, so far I'm pretty happy with this toon...she's pretty darn tough... stuff exploding, destruction galore, mobs flying around in the explosions.
Also, I'm a bit confused about Enrage and Aggressor... are these two able to be used at the same time? I'm thinking not, since they're both Forms, but I could be wrong as I have seen some posted builds that have both in them.
One reason I said to Heck with it and went with a STR based toon is because everything I've tried so far is ranged / summoner / stealthy types, and I'm tired of getting knocked around like a rag doll all the time. Just think of a female version of Thor (like Valkyrie of the Defenders), but even more awesome and destructive. So far, even running her in Tank mode, I can go into a mission and basically just erupt all over the place and afterwards, I'm like "Hey, wait a minute... did I already do that mission?" Don't even remember quaking Foxbat or Ludwig or whoever lol.
Anyway, I am very grateful for any advice from you guys... guess I'll see if I can get back on without the stupid SNR's for a while (grrrr). Thanks for your time and have fun out there!

Basic idea: Fire off a quick tap of Explosive Arrow, lunge in w/ Decimate or Descent (or similar lunge), and unleash an Annihilate. If timed right, ur target will be sent flying and explode in mid-air (or when they land, whichev). Make sure you do the last important step, though: Turn and strut away.
(note- can replace Annihilate w/ Roomsweeper, or Haymaker, or Uppercut, or FC, or w/e knock power- timing is a bit diff w/ each and is not set in stone)
Not a full rework/review of the build, but hey, maybe it helped somehow anyways

I wouldn't have expected INT to be put in there. Maybe DEX but not INT. (My reasoning there is because some of the attacks say Melee and some say Ranged)
Also now I know that MSA will help. I had no idea whether to add an energy unlock or not lol.
I also noticed you didn't rank Defiance or Enraged? Not that I'm complaining... if there's a way to save those points and put them elsewhere, then I'm all ears
EDIT: Finally figured out how to change avatars. That's the original Skyster back on CoX. Took that pic just off the docks in St. Martial. Ahhh, memories. By the way... this new Valkyrie toon? That's right, named her Skyster. Woah.
EDIT 2: Oh Yeah, and the Force Bolts as my Energy Builder with Refraction... I find it to be a very good choice... every once in a while it surrounds me with a force field that basically protects my Health Points for a little bit. Sort of like when those Squad Leader guys activate a Force Shield that you have to beat through to get to their actual hit points. If you're going to be using a energy builder anyway, might as well get a free force field out of the deal, even if it doesn't last too terribly long.
SS's all give the same passive bonus, as does the toggle, passive, specs, etc- but its generalized and also on the DR curve.
Int will help scale up MSA energy, and also lowers CD timers and energy costs a bit. Like Con, its one of those stats that can fit into practically any build as an SS, even if its not always ideal.
Its a good idea usually. MSA can work well even w/ a base 10 Int, cause it still ticks 3x per proc. Even the base amount is enough to pay back a costly heal like Conviction every ~6 sec.
Yeah, Defiance is the only slotted passive where its usually best not to rank it up. Toggles/forms like Enrage also typically aren't ranked (though there are more exceptions here).
Yeah its a fine energy builder adv; usually ya don't rank up end builders at all, but there are a few exceptions. I wouldn't really bother w/ Energy Refraction in particular unless ya were using Force Cascade, though, since otherwise the goal at lvl 40 is to minimize (or completely eliminate) energy building entirely.

Now I'm off to give it a try and see if I can smack Hi Pan all up in the face with a sword (or I might switch to a hammer) so that he can't say...
Hi-Pan: "AT RAST!! My Red Banner army is victorious! Now all Westside will have to eat at my chity wok!!"
Kevin Poe: "Wait... you mean to tell me... this was all so you could take over the Chinese Food chains in town? Y'know what? I'm outtie.. peace."
Skyster (that's me, standing behind all the bad guys) "Actually, I could go for some Chinese food right about now. Got any Mu Shu pork? egg rolls? Pork Fried Rice*"
Hi Pan: "YES!! Mwa haha!! You see, my minions! Not even the most powerful of heroes can resist my Afternoon Chinese Buffet!!"
(Okay, I'll stop.)

I figure Soul Mesmerism is *sort of* like throwing them all Hostess Twinkies Cakes... should keep them busy for a while lol !
And if that doesn't stop their evil ways... it's Thunderstrike / Earthquake and Hammer time.
If only Empathic Healing were faster. I've tried Conviction, and it's just too small of a heal.
And yes, I stuck Thunderstrike at 17... trying to get a 100 ft range attack as early as I can... most of this toon is 50 ft or closer.
I'd prob still keep Conviction- it seems small at low levels, but it gets better as you level. Can also get Resurgence if ya want a big instant heal in there. R1 Empathic is pretty weak and takes committed channeling, plus the heal has to ramp up a bit.
No real need to have Fault Line in there w/ Tremor around- latter is the stronger knock AoE. Would also get 2/2 Brutality, 2/3 Juggernaut, and 1/2 Balance in Str PSS if ya wanted the knock scaling- skipping Brutality is skipping a good chunk of damage. Would also take Ruthless over Reactive Strikes in Warden and Merciless over Rush of Battle and/or Modified Gear in Vindicator- severity options typically are good picks. Something like:
Specializations:
Strength: Swole (3/3)
Strength: Physical Peak (2/3)
Strength: Balance (1/2)
Strength: Brutality (2/2)
Strength: Juggernaut (2/3)
Warden: Fortified Gear (3/3)
Warden: Slaughter (2/3)
Warden: Ruthless (2/2)
Warden: The Best Defense (3/3)
Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
Vindicator: The Rush of Battle (2/3)
Vindicator: Mass Destruction (3/3)
Mastery: Strength Mastery (1/1)
Shouldn't really need a 100ft attack, imo. I mean, the build has a lunge and enough ranged moves as is, and ya dun have any knockbacks to need to hit anything >50ft out. A fast combat travel power can easily help ya close gaps along w/ the lunge- something like Acrobatics or Athletics or the Superspeed variants.
