"Normal" clothing options?

After seeing Caliburn rocking the 'regular attire' look in-game, I found myself wanting to make a more mundanely dressed hero. It turned out harder than I had thought, however, to find good options as for clothing pieces.

The 'Tights' pants have a Jeans option, there are some casual shoes and there are some t-shirts available, but that's more or less what I could find. What else is out there? Coats, jackets, shirts, less skintight pants?

And more importantly, where do I look for it? A surprising number of costume pieces have dropped for me along the way, and I were to find a group of mobs with reasonable attire, they may be somehow farm-able; otherwise, I'm looking for things sold in vendors or given as quest rewards or something like that.

Any experiences with this?

The majority of what is considered "normal" clothing would be found with the Z store costume sets like Harajuku, Victorian, Western and Urban. In game you'll find more normal clothing drops from mobs like the Maniac tank top, a fair amount of the New Shadows stuff (more formal in style but still not superhero like), also if you are going for more of a tattered look there's the Irradiates clothing. And with the anniversary event there's all the sparkle attire that's dropping. There may be more, but that's all I can think up off the top of my head.

    Thanks.

Another thing, though - this might just be me having a brainfart, but I can't seem to find any way to *not* wear gloves...? What am I doing wrong?

There are also Heroic Formal and Pulp Hero sets for more clothes and hairstyles.

Click on that bar on top that says "Long gloves" and switch to "Hands and Short Gloves" . Now use "hands- five fingers " . There are categories like this for each section!

Like jackets (click on the bar on top that says "tights" and "use jackets & chest wear"). Even I had trouble spotting these categories (I wanted a hood) until I began hitting the random button and saw what had changed.

Truth be told, a fair amount of casual clothes is also in free options. IIRC Caliburn's look can be replicated entirely with free costume parts.

Jackets and coats are under the same drop-down menu as tights&skin, another category there is chest gear (it has vests).

Another drop-down menu has formal shirts.

Headwear has some hats, eye accessories have some glasses.

There's completely different category than skin and tights for legs, it's called pants. It has more non-skin tight pant models.

Hmm - it doesn't seem to be there at the tailor; and most of the headwear seems to be gone as well. What's the deal with that? What diid I somehow change that made those options dissapear? o_O

You might want to check those big bold blue bars on the very top of the tailor UI.

That's where most drop-downs for completely differentt categories are hidden.

If it isn't there, it looks like a bug.

Probably the category selection. See Meedacthunist's comment. Or, if you're still not seeing it, look at the discussion in this thread: http://co-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=253861 - you'll find some screenshots and relevant commentary.

In this case, the heading tights and skin is a drop down menu:
