Dual blades and Fire?

I'd like to make a dual blades/fire build running DPS role with sword cyclone and good survival.

I could bear to use a chi attack to simulate fire, but I do want a real iconic looking fire power in there like flashfire/rimefire/fireball.

any suggestions?

One build option for the concept, playing it pretty safe w/ the choices overall:

    PowerHouse (Link to this build)

    Archetype: Freeform

    Super Stats:
    Level 6: Dexterity (Primary)
    Level 10: Constitution (Secondary)
    Level 15: Endurance (Secondary)

    Talents:
    Level 1: The Master
    Level 6: Covert Ops Training
    Level 9: Boundless Reserves
    Level 12: Acrobat
    Level 15: Accurate
    Level 18: Quick Recovery
    Level 21: Impresario

    Powers:
    Level 1: Throw Fire
Level 1: Blade Tempest (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 6: Form of the Tempest
Level 8: Way of the Warrior (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 11: Thunderbolt Lunge
Level 14: Bountiful Chi Resurgence (Rank 2, Resurgent Reiki)
Level 17: Sword Cyclone (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 20: Thermal Reverberation
Level 23: Flashfire (Rank 2, Sweltering Heat)
    Level 26: Dragon's Wrath (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 29: Parry (Rank 2, The Elusive Monk)
    Level 32: Masterful Dodge
Level 35: Immolation (Rank 2, Blazing Body)
    Level 38: Resurgence (Rank 2)

    Travel Powers:
Level 6: Blazing Speed (Rank 2)
    Level 35: Swinging (Rank 2)

    Specializations:
    Dexterity: Gear Utilization (3/3)
    Dexterity: Brush It Off (2/2)
    Dexterity: Deadly Aim (3/3)
    Dexterity: Expose Weakness (2/2)
    Warden: Fortified Gear (2/3)
    Warden: Slaughter (3/3)
    Warden: Ruthless (2/2)
    Warden: The Best Defense (3/3)
    Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
    Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
    Vindicator: Focused Strikes (3/3)
    Vindicator: Mass Destruction (2/3)
    Mastery: Dexterity Mastery (1/1)

DB has good AoE w/ Cyclone, but so does Fire. Since their strengths kinda match (DB being a bit more efficient single-target, Fire having a bit wider AoE potential) I made Fire mostly for utility/energy here.

Yea, flashfire w/ TR would be one of the most obvious synergies.

    Other things:
Firesnake - a team resist debuff (even though you don't necessarily take advantage of it)
    Pyre w/ advantage - knockdown
Fury of the Dragon - for flavor. Not actually that good, but looks awesome.

Depends how you want to approach the balance of theme vs. utility.

Would Night Warrior make for a better passive? Survivability goes down a bit, but it would boost both Dual Blades and Fire equally. Have not actually tried Night Warrior yet so I have no idea if it actually works as described or not.

Well, w/ my build there's not much fire dmg going out- its mostly still from physical/melee. NW could still work regardless, if ya wanna throw in moves like gas pellets or ricochet throw in there (or just like the stealth perks), or ofc if ya have more fire moves replacing DB moves for dmg.
