Just Clowning Around

Got it in my head the other day to make, of all things, a clown.

Even have a rough idea for a costume for her, in fact.

But I'm dead-stumped for her powerset. There's a few individual powers I figure could be stylized as clownish/slapstick stuff - Attack Toys, using the Hammer model for Heavy Weapon attacks and paint it goofy colors, that kind of thing - but so far as making an actual playable build capable of decent survival and damage, I'm clueless. Even simpler details like what EB would fit best eludes me.

Help!

You could always go against image. Have a bright-colored funny happy clown that uses the Darkness set. Cholly the Void Clown.

Appreciate the offer, but no. I'm wanting an actual clownish hero, like a circus performer got tired of throwing pies and confetti and instead started throwing-down with bad guys.

Well, technically my character, the Malicious Merrymaker, is a clown, of sorts... actually, he's a Juggalo.

But I've put together several clown costumes. He's a Heavy Weapons/Supernatural tank, though I think for an actual clown, you might want to go with more of a HW/Gadgets build.

I know there's a heavy mallet for the HW weapon costume slot, which can be made very colorful-looking, for a clown.

That's kinda what I was figuring would fit the best thematically, was a HW/Gadg build. I'm just not sure how to actually do it, since, judging from the setup for the Devastator and Inventor ATs, the viable stats for each category of powers are wildly dissimilar, and I'm at best a novice when it comes to build-making, so I have no idea how to put it all together correctly.

Maybe go with Str, Con, Int? and it shouldnt be ahrd to find the forbat weapons they are cheapish on the AH and powerball is from questionite if im not mistaken. The rainbow TP is a Zen store item though.

I intend to... if I can ever get around to obtaining the travel powers and the Harajuku set I need for the costume... don't have cash to spare to buy zen directly, and the Q exchange is so tilted it's barely worth trying to grind, so I've gotta rely on stipend...
