Conduit can be decent single-target dps, but it comes at a high energy cost to tap-spam for that. To put it in some perspective:
base tap Conduit cost = 33 energy
w/ ~0.655 sec taps, that comes to 50.38 energy used per second at base (w/o cost discount or Int gearing).
Assuming ya can cut costs to nearly half (about the max ya can go w/ Int/cost discount), that's still ~25-28 energy per sec when using Conduit optimally, or needing 75-84 energy over 3 secs.
For ref, Haymaker full charges are ~16-18 energy per second w/ the same stipulations. FC full charges w/o an energy form are about 46-50 energy per sec (~half that w/ a form). Typhoon full charges, ~30-32 energy per sec.
So yeah, Conduit is kinda steep in itself. I'm not sure the current setup has enough energy stats or return to manage it as is. Support role can make it a bit easier, but then ya may get shoe-horned into being 'the healer' in groups.
This is my take on an angel/demon hybrid. It can DPS well and is a great support build for Gravitar. Very quick to level solo and can even tackle Elite lairs. Go light on the DEX and pack on PRE > CON. Gearing is pretty standard, but you can substitute some +healing gear for the usual +crit chance.
It's not truly Darkness, per say, but I've always thought of Infernal in a similar light.
If you want to go full-on selfless healer, you can rearrange power choices so that you can take Lifedrain with Vampiric Sympathy instead of Devour Essence and Ascension for Ego Surge, but that changes it from a leveling build to a retcon build.
It's funny how many of my builds come back to, you can do that, but DE/TGM will work better. Or, that could work, but LT/Epidemic would be a whole lot better. (And they do, just need to have something other than Muni/Infernal occasionally! ^_^)
I'm guessing using Ebon Ruin instead of Celestial Conduit wouldn't help me either, Flow? Should I swap Illumination for Shadow Blast?
Sorry, I had meant my reply to be humorous, not insulting. It does often occur that munitions and infernal would be better options than whatever other concept I'm working on, so it happening again simply made me chuckle. No offense intended.

I made a conduit + shadow dps work to some degree using avenger mastery and Spirit Reverb. I've since changed that toon to a light+darkness tank (so Defiance energy helps fuel Conduit more), but here's the dps build he was:
MSA + Int gives better overall energy return w/ equiv Int vs. SR w/ Con, so ya could use that as an alternative to Con + SR, but that means you'd need to rotate in a cheap, quick cd somewhere in there to keep MSA rolling.
Shadow Blast casts from AM procs do lessen the energy load a bit, but its still pretty bursty energy management to deal with.
