So I made a character, mostly a handguns build, bit of shotgun and want to get a gatling gun. Pretty decent and dmg but lacking in defense. Alot! I'm getting tired of dying so can someone point out what I'm doing wrong?

I assume Rank2 of KI is a typo, cause that's not possible atm :x
Well, ur build is squishy for a number of reasons:
- No Con SS. After the dodge rating/gear nerf, non-tank builds lost much passive mitigation available from gearing alone, and this is best made-up for by SS-ing and gearing some Con for higher health.
- Only Holdout shot's stim pack for a heal. Although stim pack is decent enough, you'll want more or bigger heals also avail to recover larger chunks of health. Conviction, Resurgence, Palliate, Bionic Shielding can all do this to varying degrees. I'd recommend picking up at least one of em.
- No other tanky moves- Masterful Dodge, a block power, or Unbreakable. Not neccessary, but can be added later for another layer of defense.
- Inappropriate passive. Although most offensive passives aren't good for defenses, choosing Unstoppable means most tougher mobs will still be hitting you hard, as its damage shield is rather paltry. Also, because its not a great passive for a ranged build, you'll be taking a bit longer to kill mobs w/ most moves, which gives them more time to damage you back. If you wanted a melee build centered on Bullet Beatdown (prob not the case here), then WotW, Earth Form, or Quarry would be better picks. For typical ranged Muni builds, Quarry, Targeting Comp, Earth Form, KM, or Night Warrior are all better choices than Unstoppable as an offensive passive.
(edit: pretty much what jairevans was getting at above)
There's a few other things, but they're more for tweaking the build to be more optimal. Here's how I'd re-tune ur build, going upto lvl 40:
Specializations: Dexterity:Gear Utilization(3/3) Dexterity:Brush It Off(2/2) Dexterity:Deadly Aim(3/3) Dexterity:Expose Weakness(2/2) Guardian:Fortified Gear(3/3) Guardian:Ruthless(2/2) Guardian:Find the Mark(2/3) Guardian:The Best Defense(3/3) Vindicator:Aggressive Stance(2/2) Vindicator:Merciless(3/3) Vindicator:Focused Strikes(3/3) Vindicator:Mass Destruction(2/3) Mastery:Dexterity Mastery(1/1)
Last 1-2 power slots can be w/e ya want. There's other basic ways to build a typical Muni concept; its a good powerset, and this is just one setup out of many that could work out well.
Specializations: Ego:Force of Will(2/2) Ego:Insight(3/3) Ego:Follow Through(3/3) Ego:Exploit Opening(1/2) Ego:Sixth Sense(1/3) Guardian:Fortified Gear(3/3) Guardian:Ruthless(2/2) Guardian:Retribution(1/2) Guardian:Find the Mark(1/3) Guardian:The Best Defense(3/3) Vindicator:Aggressive Stance(2/2) Vindicator:Merciless(3/3) Vindicator:Focused Strikes(3/3) Vindicator:Mass Destruction(2/3) Mastery:Ego Mastery(1/1)
Though I don't know that Gatling Gun, Shotgun, or Bullet Beatdown bring much to the table when you've got Two Gun Mojo and Lead Tempest for single target and multitarget dps. But if you want for thematic reasons I would hold off on them until you have most of your survival and quality of life talents taken care of first. Also I wouldn't recommend Unstoppable for a mostly ranged munitions build. If you want an Unstoppable Broken Trigger Bullet Beatdown build that's an entirely different direction.
